PBS’s MotorWeek welcomes new consumer reporter

Owings Mills, MD. MotorWeek, America’s first and favorite automotive magazine television series, has signed veteran reporter Anqoinette Crosby to lead its ever-popular consumer segment “FYI.” Beginning mid-December, Ms. Crosby will cover the ever-changing auto industry’s trends, revealing both its glamour and grunge. Ms. Crosby succeeds Jennifer Khasnabis, MotorWeek’s previous consumer reporter of more than four years.

“We’re delighted to have Anqoinette Crosby join our MotorWeek team,” said host and executive producer John Davis. “Her extensive background in covering consumer and human interest stories and a lifelong love of cars make her the perfect match for our series.”

A native of the West Coast, Ms. Crosby was a national news correspondent for New Urban Entertainment/Reuters Television in Washington, D.C. Her industry experience spans more than a decade covering news, entertainment, business and politics, both in front of and behind the camera. She was most recently with Fox’s America’s Most Wanted and served as a special correspondent on the D.C. sniper coverage for WB-17/Philadelphia. Some of her previous work includes reporting for KTVU-TV and KPIX-TV, both in San Francisco, KICU-TV/San Jose and KLBK-TV/Lubbock, TX.

“I am very pleased to be part of such a well regarded show as MotorWeek,” said Ms. Crosby. “As a reporter and car enthusiast, I am eager to delve into the consumer interest stories MotorWeek viewers most want to see covered. And, I recognize that I have a unique perspective to share at a time when women continue to be increasingly more important to the automotive market.”

Ms. Crosby is MotorWeek’s first African-American female correspondent.
