Dear Dr. Manzanares: I am happy to inform you that you have passed the 2015 Maintenance of Certification Recertification Examination and have fulfilled all of the requirements of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery MOC/Recertification process. Your certificate will be mailed to you within the next few months. The date of your recertification is through 12/31/2025. The ABOS does not issue certificate numbers.

To maintain your certification, you must now participate in the full 10 year MOC program which has additional requirements for periodic documentation/reporting of lifelong learning and performance in practice. Failure to timely satisfy the applicable MOC requirements and reporting deadlines may result in the expiration of your certification, and the public reporting of your status as "not meeting Maintenance of Certification requirements".

To view the details of your MOC requirements for the 10 year cycle go to , login to view your ABOS dashboard. This explains the requirements and deadlines that must be met to maintain your certification and tracks your progress. Please note that it is your responsibility to keep your ABOS profile on the ABOS website () updated as to any changes in your email address and mailing address so that we can contact you in the future.

Through the American Medical Association you may claim AMA Category I credits for ABOS Recertification. For information on how to claim the credits, contact the AMA at 312-464-4669, or go to their website, ama-.

Please accept my congratulations and best wishes. It is the hope of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery that you will maintain your expertise in orthopaedic surgery and that you will continue to demonstrate to your patients and to the public the high ideals presented by the possession of the Recertification Certificate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Sincerely,

Shepard R. Hurwitz, MD

Executive Director
