In addition to -being liSted in their separate categories,- the large print, materials and readalonOs lbook# accompanied by-at least one audiocassette) are also-included in the categOries-apptoPriate to their individualsubjects . Within Categories,-the materials are listed alphabetically by author's last name. -The Annotations typicallyinclude-the international standard book number, priced abrief description of the contents, the reading level.as furnished by the publisher or distributo-r, andthecall number-or accession number, in additiOn to the usual bibliographic facts. Through a Library- Services and- Construction Act Title VI (Library Literacy Program) grant from the U. S. Department of Education, the-Mississippi Library CommissiOn purchased, :processed, and placed-supplementary adult literacy materials at the Mississippi State Penitentiary, Parchman, Mississippi. This collection 3,7Adesigned to enhance the existing literacy program-being offered at thi& correctional lnstituion. Included in this colleCtion of booki and readalongs ,(books _acoOmpantedby audiocassettes) are materials on coping skills and job skills. GED preparation and recreational reading materials are also contained in the collection-,,. The-Library Commission is making this'bibliography _available to pliblic libraries, institution libraries, anclliteracY providere to 1,et you see the myriad types of materials that ,are available to expand and compliment ituctents' formal literady learning experiences.
