 BECOMING A SIERRA CLUB OUTINGS LEADERBecome a Sierra Club MemberOTL 101 Training (in person or online)Throughout the year we will provide limited Outings Leader trainings and the online training is always open. If taking the online course, please complete quiz and send a copy of your certificate of completion to the outings chair. Basic First AidSierra Club policy requires every outings leader to be certified in Basic First Aid. You can find a list of Basic First Aid & CPR providers here. The Idaho Chapter will reimburse you for the cost of you class after you lead your first outing. If cost is an issue, please contact our Conservation Manager (casey.mattoon@) to discuss scholarship options. Co-Lead an OutingYou will co-plan and co-lead with a certified outings leader to practice your skills with an experienced volunteer. Lead Provisional OutingYour first solo outing will be follow up by a meeting with the outings chari to review how it went and finalize your certification as an outings leader.
