Loyalty models should be combined with any basic financial product model, and allow banks to implement various programs of Issuer Loyalty or Co-Branding Loyalty. The combined loyalty solution should be able to cooperate with one or several merchants and service providers, even from different business areas, within one program. For example, a fuel station, auto wash, shop, and a dining facility can all be a part of one program of a combined loyalty card – the only condition is the ability of the bank to unite all these companies within one program. The Solution should be able to allow the bank to offer its customers new credit products, and the customers of the bank should receive bonus points at purchases. The Loyalty Solution should support: ?Calculation of bonus points with various algorithms;?Simultaneous participation of a customer in several Loyalty Programs; ?“Conversion” of accumulated bonus points into merchandises and services in accordance with predefined scale;?Ordering and usage of bonus points using the information channels of the bank, such as mobile bank and call center;?Report on activities with bonus points in a monthly statement to customer;?Information exchange with other related systems (for example, accounting system, payment card system) to extract information on accrued points/read information on used points; Installments:The Solution should include functionality that provide issuers: Card specifically designed for larger purchases with automatic transferring transactions to Instalment Contract. Simple and straightforward, the stand-alone option should be easy to implement for financial institutions and easy to manage for cardholders. A financial institution should be able to establish a single credit line. Each Instalment should have its own payment schedule set by issuer and connected to the contract.The Add-On Instalment option to other cards products:The Solution should provide Issuers with an opportunity to add the Instalment feature to existing payment cards (charge, revolving, debit cards with overdraft) and allow them to instantly expand the card's functionality. Purchases with such cards should be handled with applying a combination of revolving/charge and fixed payment options. For example, for all purchases that exceed predefined amount fixed payment transactions are triggered automatically. All Instalment transactions should have a fixed repayment schedule. Both the revolving/charge and the fixed payment options should be set by issuing financial institutions, detailed in an account agreement and displayed in the account statement. Purchases not qualified for fixed payment features should be treated according to existing issuer payment rules. Installment Condition Set should be included in the card product therefore all cardholders who use card products with Instalments options has this functionality available automatically. Acquiring:Card acquiring require accepting local clearing cards as well as international cards from various network such as Visa, UPI & MasterCard. It must interface with the Bank’s core banking systems, mobile/internet banking and may interface with switch applications. The solution should allow the bank to configure existing MSC calculation principles or the new ones if Bank decides to change them. MSC could be calculated based on: ?Card product type – debit, credit, commercial; ?Specific BIN (or Range); ?Transaction region, like on-us, off-us, Remote Onus, International or Domestic; ?Specific transaction type (purchase, purchase return, purchase with cash-back, reversal etc.); ?Card technology (chip, magnetic stripe, contact/contactless, manual, key entered, MOTO, 3D etc.) System should allow additional ways to define fees and also include a fee for POS terminal renting: ?Set up fee ?Regular fee (Rental fee) The System should support several currencies; Merchant Settlement currency should be selected based on different settings: ?Settlement currency - Transaction currency; ?Settlement currency differs from transaction currency. Bank should be able to select a method for merchant settlement: ?Net Settlement - withholding all fees and payments from the settlement amount up to the actual moment of paying the merchant; ?Gross Settlement - payment of the total settlement amount to the merchant, with a subsequent bill for calculated fees and payments for acquiring services. Settlement with the merchants should be performed based on different pre-agreed schedules.Merchant Loyalty program management:The Bank would like to apply flexible and more interesting loyalty rules for different merchants servicing conditions. The Merchant Loyalty program functionality should allow creating an agreement between the participants of the benefit program, including a configurable accounting scheme for the participants, financial conditions, instructions on processing of financial events. A technical account should be added to keep records of merchant’s non-cash operations in the agreement currency with configurable conditions: Account-level (Merchant/ Outlet/ each Card Brand), to allow calculating the turnover of all merchant’s outlets or each outlet separately. It should also be possible to calculate turnover by a card brand (by default in basic configuration: turnover of all outlets of a merchant cases).Turnover accumulation period and balance reset date accumulation account turnover Furthermore, the solution should provide for automatic calculation of a pre-defined discount to the merchant service charge (MSC) in the event of a merchant reaching the necessary amount of non-cash operations within a specified period of time. The discount value should be defined as fixed amount or % from transaction amount (purchase). Discount should be applied to each transaction processed after necessary turnover was achieved, or in next day, or from first date of next month. If the specified amount is not reached, discount should not be applied. The results of these discount calculations should be made available for analysis in reports. Switching:The solution should perform online message routing according to the Routing rules that are configured in the system: ?Issuing flow (On-us; Bank card bank network, Off-us; Other card in Bank network, Remote-On-us: Bank card in other bank network) where messages are routed to Issuer Authorization. ?Acquiring flow (On-us; Bank card in bank network, Off-us; Other bank card in Bank network), where messages are routed to external networks such as International card schemes or local card schemes. The Solution should interface with external systems and networks (provide a list).Clearing:?Data import, processing, classification and routing according to the information contained in the message fields, etc.;?Data routing according to the information contained in the BIN-tables registered in the system;?Formats conversion and outgoing data generation according to the processing scenario and formats – e.g. VISA CTF file (Base-II format sent over to Edit Package), MasterCard R 111 IPM file, etc.Dispute Management:Dispute management functionality should include charge-backs, refunds, and claims to the merchants. Dispute management system should ensure Dispute and Chargeback case creation (with unique case id number) that contains transactions, documents, comments, balance entries and other data, which could be added to the case.The System should provide time limit control mechanisms for Dispute case management that can be configured within system and could be set by user. Fraud Management:The system should cater for Fraud Prevention and Fraud Detection:?The purpose of a Fraud Prevention solution should be to ensure pro-active online fraud prevention – the system should score messages during authorization process and if any configured rule is violated then message processing should be declined.?The purpose of a Fraud Detection solution should be to ensure offline monitoring of authorizations and transactions using online and offline interfaces to authorization systems, clearing systems of proposed solution. All messages (approved and declined) should be processed in the system to analyze messages on possible fraud as well as for statistical purposes.The system should consist of two main functional blocks:?A Rules engine – that contains the entire business configuration of fraud monitoring business rules, performs the message processing, statistics calculation and accumulation and assigns the score decision to each processed message;?Fraud Case management workplace – a workplace that provide the daily work desktop for the risk analyst, displays the results of all identified suspicious cases, and provides analysis possibilities, histories, reports and other functions to risk analyst, necessary to take appropriate measure and control fraud.?The Fraud management system should be integrated with the Dispute management system.
