Wham! goes the percussion. Honk! goes the bary Sax. The band hall is my favorite place to be. To me, music , and the band hall is the ideal place for a music lover like me.“Practice!” Mrs. De Leon’s screams cut through the sound of the music. She yells at people who don’t practice. Aside from Mrs. De Leon’s screams, the band hall is a pleasant, serene place where I can comfortably practice my music. I wouldn’t like to mess up in All-Valley try outs. I would die of embarrassment. Sometimes it may be hard to hear myself over the sound of the Barry Sax. It is as loud as a jet.The love of music has always been so strong in me; I guess that is what makes the band hall so special to me.The Tree by Aron Santiesteban“Tweet” went the birds as I woke up. My mom was calling me down for breakfast. While I was eating, my little sister came to make a ruckus. I finished eating and tried to look for some peace. Then it occurred to me to go outside in the backyard with the tree as high as a flying kite. It was so tall it touched the sky. My mom saw me in such a hurry, so she asked, “Where are you going?” “Outside for some peace,” I responded. When I was at the tree I lay down and fell asleep. It was so quiet and tranquil. That’s why the tree is my comforting spot.My Favorite Place by Sebastian LedezmaI was going up my grandma’s tree for some peace and quiet. This tree is my favorite place, where I can think and relax. I love this tree so much because it has been standing since my dad was a little kid. It is more special to me when my whole family is outside. “Don’t go up so high Sebastian!” my mom shouts. Up in the tree there is a thick branch where I can lie down and take a nap.I kind of get cuts from the tree branches while going up. I’m not surprised; the branches are as hard as nails. There was one spectacular time. It was New Year’s, and I went up into the tree. Boom! Fireworks started popping. It was a sight to see.I love my grandma’s tree so much. The tree is so tall it could reach the clouds. When I’m relaxing tweet! tweet! birds chirp while having a nice day. I love to come to my grandma’s house to relax because I get to hang out in my favorite tree. My Backyard by Cesar ZapataMy favorite place to relax and have fun is the backyard of my home. My backyard is special because it helps me recover from a bad day. There are many reasons why my backyard is my favorite place. First off, my backyard provides a quiet and comfortable environment. It lets me relax while reading a book. Sometimes, if I’m lucky, I can see the bunnies that live in our backyard. When they come out it is like they are taunting me to go chase them. My dog Riley is there also. She is always ecstatic when I play with her. When I speed around with her, she always trips me because she is rapid as a lightning bolt. When I’m not playing with her, I’m in the pool. Bark! Bark! Riley gets agitated when I’m in there and barks until my dad tells her. “Riley, be quiet!” It’s very peculiar how that always makes her quiet. When I get out, I say goodbye to Riley and the backyard. By the time that I leave, it is pitch black. When I go to bed, I go directly to sleep. I’m lucky that I have a great backyard that takes immense stress out of a hard day. The Little Room by Juan ConstanzaWhen my dad decided to build a little room where he could put his equipment, I wasn’t very enthusiastic about it, but later came to like the place.I go to the little room when I’m mad or sad and want to be left alone. I usually go when I want to read a book in peace or do something without being bugged by my little brother. When I went in the room for the first time and closed the door, it was as dark as night and so quiet I could hear a pin drop. My dad later installed a light bulb. I asked him if I could use the room when he wasn’t around. He said, “As long as you don’t mess with my tools.” Then one day I went in; I tripped and CRASH! down came the tools. I hurried and put the tools back. There was this one day where I got in a fight with my mom and ran into the room and the thought about what happened. I went to my mom and apologized for what happened between us. I think my little room is extraordinary, but that’s how I see it. I was flabbergasted when I saw my dad had painted the room.I thank my dad for building that room. Now I can be in a quiet place and can’t be bothered by anyone.Escape to Freedom by Layla CarrisalezDo you ever feel the need to just get away? Some place you can cry your eyes out or even to the top of your lungs. Or maybe even get time to set yourself free. I do and all of the above too. I get so caught up in band, school, and sports that I never have time to just disconnect. I love to hear the birds chirping, the wind singing, the trees talking, the leaves swaying to the music of the forest, and last but not least, the feel of my hand moving like lightning.I write poetry, stories, songs, and draw or doodle. When I do this or when I need to escape and be free, I go to my favorite place. Deep in the forest by the biggest tree, I climb to the top and write. The tree is so tall I think it touched the clouds. If I stay there a bit late, I can hear “hoo, hoo”from the owls. Sometimes I even feel as if they were talking to me saying, “Write about us”. But I guess it’s just me and my imagination going wild. This tree, this forest, sets me free. It gives me space so I can escape and release my feelings. This is my place to escape and discover---my serenity. My Favorite Spot by Karla MaresDo you have a favorite place that calms you down when you’re feeling stressed or angry? A place that helps you think and loosen up?I have a favorite spot. It is in my own backyard. My family has an old trailer in the very back of our yard. I chose that spot because I can relax and think over things that are on my mind. One day I was having an argument with my mom. As I walked outside, I slammed the door really hard! BOOM! I was so enraged, so I went to the very back of the yard. I told myself, “You need to relax and calm down.” Then I went to the trailer and just lay down. I thought about everything and then got up. I was relaxed and wasn’t angry anymore. I was happy as a lark. Ever since that day, I go there when I need to think. That is my favorite spot. Sometimes I go there just to be alone or to get some time to myself. I feel like I’m there for three days, but it has only been an hour.My backyard is my unique place to think, to get things off my mind, to relax, and most of all to be solitary. My Favorite Place Aalyah RodriguezDon’t you just love to get away from everybody and be alone? To get away from your stress, well I do.Where I like to go can be very different from where others go, but that doesn’t really matter. I like to go on top of my roof and just lie there without a care in the world. Nobody bothers me or get in my way. One day my two sisters just made me furious, so I decided to just leave. “Okay, I’m going outside!” I yelled as I left. I climbed up and BAM! I was as tall as the tree. I can see everything from where I am. I lie on the roof and don’t think about any of my troubles. They just slip away out of my mind. Sometimes when I’m up there, I look at the clouds and try to guess the shape. Later it gets dark and I go inside in a more pleasant mood than before. That’s why the roof is my favorite place to be.Personal Narrative by Beyonce GraciaOne day I woke up on a beautiful morning. Immediately I smelled some delicious pancakes.Once I got to the kitchen, my parents told me that they had found a house. “The problem is that I you are not going to get your own room,” my parents said forlornly. “What do you mean?” I asked them. “You’re going to have to share a room with your sister,” they said. At that point, I ran out into the backyard. I was so devastated because I wanted my own space. I was angry as a bull. I sat down next to a tree and just started talking to myself.WOOSH! went the wind as it started to get dark and cold. It was just me and the tree. I lay down and watched the beautiful stars in the sky. I realized that I had calmed down. I wasn’t so gloomy anymore. I had ascertained that the backyard was my get-a-way from everyone. The backyard was the place where I could talk to myself and think to myself, so I could let the thoughts run through my head. As I looked up to the sky, I felt so happy. I also felt as hungry as a horse, so I went inside and got something to eat.A Safe Haven by Gail EspinozaI’m a bookworm. I prefer reading books instead of playing video games. My favorite place to go is the library. I don’t know why, but it makes me feel easygoing. It’s as delightful for me as the skate park is for boarders. There’s something about reading a good book that makes me joyful. “Hello Gail,” the librarian greets me warmly with a smile.I’m basically a frequent visitor. I’ve only turned in a book once late. I can joke that I’ve been to Paris or to Neverland. A loud THUD! shook me out my thinking. Sometimes these books could weigh a ton. I know that other kids might not revel in reading books, but I couldn’t enjoy anything else and better. Overall, you might find me at the library again pretty soon. I love reflecting on good books.Have you got favorite place? My Home by Cody VasquezMy favorite place is at my house in the back because I do most of my homework on top of the tree or on the house.I like doing my homework there because it’s fun and it’s not bothersome like inside. My little sister is irritating as a monkey going bananas. My older sister is on the phone for a whole year talking to her friends.I like it in the tree because I can see everything. It is just so spectacular looking at the delightful blue sky. For me it’s better when it’s going to rain because it’s not that hot and not that dark. One day I heard z-z-z-zoom. My dad had cut down my favorite tree. I said, “I loved that tree; I would do my homework up there.” My dad told me that the tree was breaking and needed to be cut down. For now my favorite place to do my homework is on the roof. I can see every little thing as if I were on top of my favorite tree.My Room by Lilian SanchezBam! Ding! Dong! Is all I hear around my house. Noises and people talking everywhere I go. But a place where I don’t hear anything from outside the world is in my room. The reason I like to be in my room is because I can do so many things without the world seeing. I can sing, dance, read, take pictures, and draw. I can be myself when I’m in my room when no one is looking. People might ask, “Why do you adore being in your room so much?” I tell them, “I can do whatever I ant. I can act silly and be me. I can get away from distractions and be alone. My room releases me from everything and everyone. I imagine myself in a place somewhere peacefully, where everything is just calm and silent. That’s why I’m always happy as a lark when I’m in my room. I can just stay there forever in my room.Every time I need some time for myself, I will always be in my room. If you ever need me, I WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY ROOM!My Room Katelyn GarciaHave you ever felt a feeling of needing time alone? I know I have. My favorite place is my room. I can do whatever I want, whenever I want in there. One day my whole family was having a get-together at my house. Once everyone arrived, we started talking about the past and good ol’ times until my mom brought up an old time of mine. I thought I would die of embarrassment. My whole family remembered and thought it was cute. I ran to my room to think in peace and quiet, but all I heard was “hee, hee” and people being loud as jet. After a while, I realized it wasn’t bad to think about my past. Even I laughed at my own past. My room is what I needed to think about what I thought I was “embarrassed” about. I went back out and realized that my family is the best. I yelled, “I love my family!” to everyone.Do you have a favorite place of your own? Outdoors by Valerie LejiaThere are many fun outdoors activities to do during the summer. I still remember the day I went fishing for the first time with my dad.I hopped out of the car to the despicable smell of fish and the savory smell of pine trees. The lake was serene and calm all over. My dad prepared the fishing rods. I rushed after him, excited and anticipating my first fishing experience. I then sat on my pink foldable chair, thinking I would be the first to get a great catch. It seemed like an eternity before I even felt a little tug. I was so envious since my dad had already caught a mountain of fish. Then my heart started pumping out of my chest. Could it really be? I thought to myself. Yes! It is! “DAD! I feel a tug!” I screamed loudly. My dad came to assist me. Then SPLISH! SPLASH! There came out of the water the biggest fish of all. The sun was as hot as an oven but it didn’t bother me after my big accomplishment. At the end of the day, we had a ton of fish to take home.Thinking back, this was the most delightful time I’ve had outdoors because I got to spend quality time with my dad. In addition, I had so much fun that day.Garner State Park by James OlveraWhen all else fails, there is really only one place for me to go. It is somewhere in the outskirts of San Antonio, Texas. It is a state park and it has a crystal-clear natural river running through it. Its name is Garner State Park. This park is one of the most exciting places, yet one of the most relaxing. You can rent a tire and go ride the natural white water rapids. WHOOSH! The thing that my family likes the most is that it is very safe for small kids who don’t know how to swim because there is always a very educated life-guard on stand on each side of the river. The river is only about 3 feet in some areas and as deep as the ocean in other areas. At my house there is almost something going on every second. There’s hardly any rest time, so when school is out, this is the place my family chooses to visit. Every year they’re always so excited because there are so many things to do. My sister lives it at the park. As soon as we arrive, my sister says and I quote: “OMG!” Sometimes I feel so frustrated with homework. It is just so good to relax and relieve all of that stress. This is why Garner State Park is my favorite place to be.center0Mittens00MittensThe Peaceful Pasture by Valerie Lejia “Val! Are you ready to head out to the field?” called my father from the kitchen. “Yes!” I responded. I put on a pair of jeans and my boots, and I was ready to go to my favorite place in the world. I hopped on my horse and rode side-by-side with my dad in the fresh pasture. Without a doubt this was my favorite place in the universe. The field was as pretty as a picture. I could hear every little sound around me—crickets, birds, and the crackle of the leaves as my horse stepped. This was the place in which I had first learned how to ride my horse. The whoosh of the wind in my ears makes all the worries in the world disappear. Whether my day had been gloomy or perfectly fine, a ride in the pasture could make my frown turn upside down. Out of all the reasons why this place was so special, I can say the biggest reason is because it feels like I simply grew up here. This is my favorite place in the world because when everything else seems wrong, this pasture is what makes me feel at peace. Riley by Cesar Zapata The animal that is sure to bring joy to my mournful day is my dog Riley. The reasons why she brings me happiness are endless, but I narrowed it down to a few. She is always there when I come home from school. Sometimes, she gets really excited and tries to go in the bus. She can never get through the steps, though. When I’m bored with T.V. and video games, I go outside and play with Riley. We play fetch, well, Riley’s version of fetch. I just throw the ball; then spend an hour trying to get the ball out of her mouth. Trust me; it isn’t easy. It takes immense strength. She isn’t all that perfect, though. R-r-r-ip! She tears apart everything she can get her chomps on. It help that my dad is a“wanna be” farmer. Riley always gets a hold of the plants and eats them for a snack. Every morning that I go outside with her, she is happy as a lark. She jumps all over me like she’d been waiting for an eternity to see me. Through all her faults, she’s still great. “Take out the trash,” mom yells. Every day I take out the trash, and she’s always there. Thinking about Riley, I consider myself very lucky to have a magnificent pet like Riley. 235458024828500The Court (aka my home) by Emma Stambaugh Ahhh…the smell as I walk in and inhale the chilled, sweaty air. My shoes squeak and squawk as I bustle to get read to practice. I plunged my frayed duffle bag on the floor. “Buzzzzz! Start serving!” yells the coach. Yes! The roar of the buzzer to start serving. We all have that one comfortable place, where our mind is free, no worries at all, and it seems you can’t live without it! The gym is like my sanctuary. The gym with the volleyball nets up is an incomparable place. It has numerous special meanings to me because whenever I have trouble at school or with grades, I go directly to the court and think it out. I serve some balls; then do a smidgen of hitting, and setting. Sometimes even a deft player will be in there to inspire me to play harder. There is something about the court that makes me feel…comforted, relaxed, and unstressed. Even on a cold day, I bask in the humid air. I could spend the rest of my life on the volleyball court. My mom always asks, “Are we going to the gym today?” My answer always remains the same, “YES!”The volleyball court is my place. Anyone can always find me there. It really helps me. It’s not some therapy, but it allows me to process life. It’s helped me the last five years. Do you have a place where you can feel the best you can?1052195000Not a Care in the World by Kimberly Lucio Do you ever feel like you need some relaxation time? I know I do! That is why I have my special carefree spot, a swing outside my house. It’s not fancy I know, but I can just lie down and relax. Last year, I had many problems going on. Drama was taking over my life. Then one day it got worse. It was as if tons and tons of problems had fallen on top of me. I couldn’t help it, so I ran outside to my swing and got everything out of my system. I cried; I shouted, but most importantly, I let everything out. That is why it’s so special to me because it set me free, and now I go just to relax and have some “me time”. All I can hear there is the buzz from the bees--nothing but nature. Even my mom knows how I feel about it. Every time I go outside she articulates, “Going to that special place of yours”, followed by a wink. The swing brings many stunning memories. That is why my favorite place is outside on the swing. Peacefulness is nice and dandy, so if you can excuse me, I’ve got to get my relaxation mode on.Construction in the Garage by Romualdo Maldonado “Boom! Boom!” The walls jolted all of the sudden. The music from the party made the walls move as if they were alive. I realized that my parents had arranged a party.I thought that I was never going to finish my book and get my A.R. points on time. I thought of where to go now that I could listen to the music all the way to my room. As I headed out to the garage, I got a lawn chair and sat down and started to read. After a little while, I heard the music even louder. I thought about all the things in the garage I could use to form something, so I started to gather pieces of wood to make a huge rectangular box that could hold me. When I was done building the box, I got inside. It was dark, but there was no sound coming into the box. Just as I hoped, the box was able to block out the sound of the party. After building the box, I got a flashlight that found in the garage. When I got inside the box, I used the flashlight to read in peace. I read for millions of years. After the party was over, I got out of the box and headed toward my room. “I love this place,” I whispered to myself before leaving the garage. The garage is the best place in my house to read because it’s quiet without distractions. My Home by Alyssa Peralez Don’t you ever just need a break from people? I do; I just hop in the car and I go to the softball field. The softball field is my favorite place to be. I guess you could say it’s my escape. I don’t like to be around all the “stop it” or “Mom!” That’s aggravating. I like to go outside and hear the “chirp, chirp” of the birds. My dad always says, “The field is like being in the eye of a hurricane.” When I get there, it’s like heaven on earth. I just get my glove, bat, and ball and I can do just about anything. It’s my favorite place because I can smack as many balls as I want, and I can get down and dirty. I can also just sit there in the dugout and feel the breeze against my face. The field has a huge impact on my life. I hit my first home run there. As soon as my sister first started playing, I felt like I had to also. My family and I go 5 days a week. The softball field is home away from home. There’s no place I’d rather be than the field. My Peaceful Haven by Roberto BorjasUgh! Every day I always seem to be full of boredom and forlornness. I sometimes feel like I will fall into depression. I always ask myself, “Is there any place on Earth where I can go to escape my stress?” Well, for a couple of years now, the beach has been my favorite place to be.Almost every week I will take a one-day vacation to the beach. When I walk on the soft and soothing sand, I feel that I’m literally walking on clouds. Then the fresh and comforting sea breeze skims along my skin, making me feel as if I am levitating high into the air. The crash sounds of the waves are so fascinating that they stop me in my tracks just to listen. At last, the waves wash up the shore and flow over my feet. Without hesitation, I run into the waves. Finally, at around chest-deep water, I throw on my goggles and dive into the cool, salty water. When the day is over, I finally head back home. I look back at why the beach is special to me; my answer is because it alleviates the stress and boredom in my life. I think I will be going to the beach till the day I die.The Creek in the Woods by Noel Rendon My favorite place to spend time is near a small creek in the woods. My friends and I hang out there, fish, hunt, or paintball fight. Any time I’m bored, I just go there to forget about everything that stresses me out.Not long ago my friends and I built a treehouse. Of course, it was not the best treehouse, but it was made by our own hands. Later that day we went fishing and caught very little. I didn’t catch anything. My brother almost all of the fish, SPLISH, SPLASH went the fish and he said loudly, “I caught one!” They weren’t that big, but he thought that they were big as a shark. We were about to leave because it was getting dark. Then came the sound—crack! and down came the treehouse. We were all disappointed. From that day and now every time I go there. I see the fallen tree and the remains of the treehouse and all the broken wood. I still go there but it’s not the same. All of our work just went to waste because of an old weak tree. Even so, the small creek in the woods is my favorite place.Softball Relaxation by Valerie GuevaraBam!!! was the noise that caught my attention. Once I heard the noise I knew perfectly what it was. It was the charming sound of a softball bat hitting a softball. As I walked onto the softball field, it felt as if I were in a very special place, and I knew that I was. The field warmed my heart like a fire warms my hands. There is no other place I’d rather be than on a softball field. It all started when I was 9; my dad took me to the park and taught me how to catch and throw as well as all the basic techniques. After that day I fell in love with the game. Then one day I got into an actual team and had my first practice. I wasn’t used to practicing for so long, so after the practice I was super sore and so tired that I could sleep for a year. Then I started getting used to it, and it wasn’t really exhausting. I did have rough times during practice, but my dad once told me “don’t give up because you’ve already come a long way.”A softball field will always make my day because it is the most special place to me.NatureBy Kaylah Nicole Castro3855720465072A flower represents the beauty of nature and brings out the happiness some people don’t find in themselves.00A flower represents the beauty of nature and brings out the happiness some people don’t find in themselves. My Special Place by Bartolo Jimenez Nooooo! My cousins broke my tablet. I was about to scream as loud as a witch. I then ran away and decided to stay in my closet because no one would find me there. That’s when I realized…I’ve finally found peacefulness.I was there for a while and then I pulled out my laptop and decided to play Mine Craft. I put on my ear buds and played for a while and realized that no one came to disturb me. I then decided to snooze instead of playing because I hadn’t slept in ages. I woke up an hour later and then said to myself, “Peace and quiet! I can now finish my estate in Mine Craft.” I realized that my special place was my closet because it was quiet and peaceful.I got an apology from my cousins and I gave them mine. My cousins said they would buy me another tablet. I thanked them and they went home. I then went to my room, turned on BBC America and watched Dr. Who…after a nap in my closet.Z-Z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-zMy Dog by Juan ConstanzaWoof! Woof! My dog dashed towards me as I got off the bus. I remember when I purchased him at the pet shop; he was small but very vivacious. He was brown like coffee. I walked into the pet shop for the first time. My family was there just to get a present for a relative. I walked around and found a small brown puppy in a cage. Immediately, I felt like he was mine. When I asked my dad if we could buy him, he said, “No, you’re not old enough to take care of a puppy.” I was ambitious, so I worked harder than ever. I worked my heart out that month. I washed dishes, cleaned the house, mowed the grass, and more. Until one day my dad came up to me and said I had proven I was responsible enough to take care of a dog. The next day we drove to the pet shop and bought my dog. I spent hours playing with him daily. I fed him and gave him water. I trained him to do tricks. When I rode my bike, he followed me, so I pedaled 90 miles an hour. However, he still beat me to the house. I thank my dad for giving me a chance to take care of a dog. I had a fear that I couldn’t take care of a dog, but I realized after all that I was responsible enough. The Stray Dog by Frank JimenezHas an animal ever made you happy? An animal has made me happy. The story I’m about to tell you is a true one, so read on.It was early Saturday morning; the sun was rising in the horizon. The sky was a beautiful shade of pink and red. It was a perfect sunrise, pretty as a picture. It was Valentine’s Day, but the problem was that I was alone. I got dressed and walked outside. I looked around, but I saw nothing. It was silent, so I walked around my property. I had walked for 5 minutes when I saw a dog, an ugly stray dog. I kept walking, however, it followed me. I was about to shoo it away when I realized it was the only company I had. I gave it some food and while it ate, I talked to it. “You’re my only company,” I said sadly. As if it knew what I, meant, it came to me and cuddled with me. I was so happy I could kiss it (but I didn’t). I still remember that lonely Valentine’s Day until that ugly stray dog provided me with his company. Apple Wood Forest by Vivyann Guerrero, Jeanell Rochel, Karen Waters One day about 300 years ago, two girls named Briana and Bella were walking near an apple wood forest. They saw a glow in the forest and immediately ran towards the light. As they ran to the light, they discovered that the glow was a STONE. Bella picked up the stone, but then Briana got furious and clawed the stone to take it from her. They started fighting for the stone like wild dogs. Bella and Briana were pulling so hard that they broke the stone in half. Bella then fell to the ground and threw one of the halves over her head. As she was getting up, she saw something emerging from the stone. It was a little person. She went up to the little person and put out her hand to greet him with a huge smile on her face. The tiny person cursed them for what they had done to his home. Briana approached as though she forgot she was fighting with Bella. The tiny person started screaming, “You destroyed my home; now you will have to pay!” Suddenly the clouds got darker; the trees looked dead as if winter passed. The wind whooshed around them; they felt trapped. Then the little person said, “I am wizard and if you don’t get this hint, you’ll have to stay here forever.” He then continued talking and said, “What you have done to my house can lead to your death. If you break this half, you will be led your home. Get this right or stay here forever.” Then the wizard disappeared. The girls began talking and suddenly four paths appeared in front of them. Bella said, “We should take path two.”Briana responded, “But we broke his stone in two so that it is certain death.”Bella added, “That was just a coincidence.” Then Briana said, “But remember the riddle.” It was too late, however. Bella ran into path 2. Briana wondered why Bella was screaming and joined Bella on path 2. She saw Bella running for her life. Briana got her by the hand and dragged her out of the path quickly. Bella said, “I think we should work together.” They started talking about the riddle they remembered. “If you break the two pieces apart again it will make four pieces. They both figured out the right path and entered path 4. They figured out the path was correct. They went home that night. They fell asleep and they learned to work together and not trust strangers. He was trying to find a new friend, but he was very judgmental. On Sunday he went around his block looking for a friend. He passed everyone. He either said, “You’re too dumb” or “You’re too ugly” or “You’re too fat.”After a while he started feeling hungry, so he popped a piece of gum in his mouth. In about a minute, he found the perfect guy. His name was Eric. Harry had seen Eric before at school and now was the perfect time to ask him. So he did. He asked, “Do you want to be my friend?”Eric said, “No!” just like that. Harry asked, “Why?” Eric said that Harry was too weird. It took Harry about a minute to figure out what was going on. Then he started feeling sad for himself, so he went to the forest behind his block.Once he got into the forest he started saying, “No one likes me” over and over again. Then he heard a voice asking, “Are you sure about that?” He turned around and saw a beautiful unicorn standing right in front of him. He was amazed. The beautiful unicorn said, “Hi, my name is Linda.” Harry was still so amazed. He didn’t say anything until she asked, “What’s your name?” Harry answered in a low voice, “My name is Harry.”Then Linda said, “Well, hello Harry. What exactly are you complaining about?” Harry told her that no one liked him. She then replied, “That’s not how I see it.” In about a second, a magic ball appeared. Linda said, “Look into this ball and tell me what you see.” What else was there to do but look into the magic ball, so he did. After the video was over, Linda said, “Well, what did you see Harry?” Harry responded, “I saw myself being mean to those kids. I didn’t know I was acting like that.” Linda told Harry that Eric said he was too weird and that he felt sad. Harry realized how he acted and felt really bad. Harry then said, “I’m so sorry for the way I acted.” Linda said, “Don’t tell me; go tell those kids.” Harry realized he still had the gum in his mouth. It had lost its flavor, so he spit it out. After he did, he felt a little strange. He started to walk away and forgot to say thanks, so he turned and said, “Thanks for the advice.” Before he could finish speaking, she was gone. Harry walked back to his block, along the way saying sorry to all the kids he embarrassed and asking them if they would be his friends. They all said “yes”; he even asked Eric. Finally, Harry had four new best friends. The lesson Harry learned was not to be judgmental. ................
