Fourth Quarter Mathematics Projects

You are responsible for creating a power point presentation on your assigned topic. Your presentation should be at least 7 slides, which include:

1. a title screen that should include your title, your name, date, and period

2. important historical facts

3. visual data (pictures or drawings)

4. a reference slide indicating at least two resources for you information

Your presentation should be limited to (3) two to (5) five minutes and you should also submit a 12 font double-spaced typed report in MLA format. Your report should include a title page replica of your power point presentation title screen and include a reference page citing at least two different resources. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and will result in an unsatisfactory grade (F). You should save your presentation and report to a portable flash drive. Sent your powerpoint via email to jerome_manuel@nops.k12.la.us and to your personal email as well. You should submit your report via Blackboard. All projects are due on:

Tuesday, 4-27-10 (periods 1, 3 ,7) Wednesday, 4-28-10 (periods 2, 4, 6)

All projects should be submitted by 7:50 a.m. of the day they are due to my email, your email, and Blackboard.

The scoring is as follows:

Powerpoint presentation 100 points

Oral presentation 100 points

Report 100 points

These points will be calculated into your test/quizzes part of your grade. The penalty for submitting late assignments will be 4 points per class period after the time due. Anyone missing their day to present will be required to present after school on Thursday and there will be a 25 point penalty without an official excuse.
