Anderson County Middle School
Site Based Decision Making Council
April 29, 2013
We are delighted to introduce the parent candidates for the 2013-2014 SBDM Council!
Machell Adams
Hello, my name is Machell Adams and I am running for the ACMS SBDM Council Parent Member.
I am the wife of Mark Adams, and the proud mother of 3 boys; Drew & Hunter Monarch and Austin Adams. Both of our older sons have been completely through this school system and I volunteered in it for over 16 years. I also volunteer as the secretary at Ninevah Christian Church, which is dear to my heart. I own and operate my own business and enjoy working with the public. My hobbies are playing the piano, hunting, fishing, and camping.
Enough about me, let’s talk about you. Our children spend the majority of their time at school. It is very important as parents our voices are heard when it comes to their education. After all, who knows your child better than you? I will do my very best to articulate the needs and wants of you and your children to this council. I am a good listener and better yet, don’t back down from a challenge.
I would appreciate your vote and promise to do my very best. Thank you for taking the time to read this and more importantly for investing your time in your child’s education.
Autumn Boblitt
My name is Autumn Boblitt. I have one daughter, Lauren Boblitt (6th Grade) and I am married to Greg Boblitt. I served on the Site Based Decision Making Council at Turner Elementary for two terms and I would like the opportunity to serve on the ACMS Site Based Decision Making Council.
I like to give back to my community and I want to be involved in our children’s education and help make sure they are prepared and successful in the future. My work schedule allows me the flexibility to attend meetings as needed. I ask that you consider me when you place your vote for the ACMS SBDM Council Parent Members.
Brian S. Klink
I would appreciate the opportunity to serve on the Anderson County Middle School’s Site Based Decision Making Council. I believe it is important for parents, teachers and administrators to work together in the best interest of our students.
As a parent of two children attending Anderson County I am vested in the safety, education and opportunities provided by Anderson County Middle School. I live and work in Anderson County and I am a proud graduate of Anderson County High School. I would be an advocate for our students and parents and would work to represent our views and concerns. Our children deserve to receive a high quality educational experience to help them be successful in their future.
Frances Ryan
I would like to be on the Anderson County Middle School Site-Based Council to be a voice for parents and students. My husband and I have 2 children who will be there soon-too soon! What happens at the middle school is of great concern to us. Middle school is an important and often difficult time for children and I would like to work with the staff at the middle school to ensure an appropriate learning environment and that challenging learning opportunities are offered at ACMS. I have served on SBDM Councils at other schools and feel confident that I can contribute to the discussions of the middle school council. Thank you, Frances Ryan
