Dear Hiring Manager,

Re: Application to Mobile Developer

I’m contacting you to express my interest in your Mobile Developer position. As a passionate student of Computer Science, I have always strived to produce very well documented and tested code. It would be a pleasure to do maintenance and support for the libraries, and the back-end tools that you use. I am also keen on building new features and fixing issues that pertain to the UI. Although it might seem to be the most tedious, debugging is one of my favorite tasks in programming. I am really enthusiast to learn new technologies, and also share my knowledge with others, when needed. Therefore, I would love to become part of your extraordinary team of developers, and help Clio develop high-quality software products.

During my spare time, I have developed an Android application called Flagger, which resembles a single-device multiplayer quiz with questions related to various countries' flags. However, I am also dedicating some of my time for solving Algorithmics problems on Project Euler and Leetcode in order to further sharpen my programming skills. At UBC, I strived to learn more about Object-Oriented Programming while also learning new languages like Java, C++, TypeScript, Linux Shell. I have developed good proficiency in C++, HTML, CSS and MySQL through high school projects and assignments. At that time, I particularly found C++ very interesting, so I participated in various Algorithmics contests organized by my country`s Ministry of Education, and I have also tutored 2 students.

I consider myself a reliable and conscientious person with a strong work ethic. When I’ve been a Computer Science Marker, I have learned how to communicate in a short, but concise manner, giving relevant feedback to my students. From my previous work experience at MDA, I learned how to properly manage my time, so that all the tasks are finished by their due date. Nowadays, I strongly rely on my time management skills when dealing with several assignments, academic and personal projects, and last but not least, voluntary activities. I am looking forward to hearing from you regarding my qualifications and the opportunity to meet and discuss this position. I can be reached at 604-809-1984.

Best Regards,
