Activities for Home Learning for 3.1Hi Families of 3.1. We are really missing you. I hope you are all well and are managing to keep occupied during this very strange time. Please do email me/phone the school office if I can help with anything or if you would like any work specific to your child’s own EHCP targets (sioned.lewis@themeadows.sandwell.sch.uk) Check out this link for loads of resources online! Alternatively, I’d be happy to put some work in the post for you if you’d prefer that to online work.LiteracyThis is a fun game where you catch letters and read the words they spell. This is a drawing and writing tool you could have a go at this week Number – Sign up to this site for free and have a go at some sea themed counting games. Statistics – Have a go at diving for jewels and then reading a graph to see which you have the most of Geometry – Have fun putting these sea themed puzzles together You could also draw your own seaside picture and cut it up to create a puzzle for someone in your family to put back together. Science You can play the games on this site to develop your sea creature vocabulary.Find out about the sea creatures around the coast of Britain on this site Body Play a racing game together with members of your family. It is called ‘cups of sea’. You will need a bucket of water, 2 cups and a large container each. Put the bucket of water at one end of the garden and your jug at the other. Start at the bucket of water, fill your cup and run to your jug and tip it in. The winner is the first to fill their jug with water. Draw some fish on the concrete with chalk. Write different numbers inside the fish. Throw a wet sponge or rag at the fish. You get the number of points inside the fish you hit with your sponge. You could even add your points to get a grand total. My independence This week your task is to make your bed every morning and, at the end of the week, to strip your bed and put your sheets in the washing machine. With some help, you could also put the washing powder in the machine and turn it on. Make sure you wash your hands after touching any cleaning products. Can you make your bed again once your sheets are dry?My LifestyleHave a go at making some music of your own this week using this link a go try at drawing Baby Shark using this You Tube video As always, I’d love to see what you have been up to this week. You can email your work, photos or questions to me at sioned.lewis@themeadows.sandwell.sch.uk ................
