The USTA/PNW provides resources to community partners who create SPECIAL EVENTS that support the stated priorities of: Youth (Team) Play Opportunities, Community Development, Inclusion and Membership Growth. We are offering three SPECIAL EVENT Grants designed to add value and benefits to USTA PNW JTT league participants. (Non-USTA branded JTT programs are not eligible.)

1. USTA Jr. Team Tennis 10 & Under: Coordinators who offer a 10 & under jamboree.

Requirements: 1. A minimum of 20 players must be registered in a 10 & under program in TennisLink. 2. Players must utilize all six of the specifications for their age division including: a. age, b. racquet size, c. court size d. net height e. ball f. score.

2. USTA Jr. Team Tennis Kick-off: League coordinators who offer a social kick-off where registered league players may enjoy tennis activities, food, prizes etc. The SPECIAL EVENT will provide players with an opportunity to meet teammates and fellow league participants. In addition, coaches will meet to receive training from the coordinator, league information and get to know one another.

Requirements: 1. A minimum of 4 complete teams of the same age division must be registered in TennisLink before the league kick-off date. 2. Coaches must meet with the league coordinator at the kick-off for training purposes. 3. Prior to requesting a stipend for a Kick-off, the coordinator must file the following: a. USTA Pacific Northwest League Application b. 2010 USTA Pacific Northwest Coordinator Agreement c. PNW Background release d. W-9(For both Coordinator Stipend & SPECIAL EVEN grant recipient). e. Other required tax information.

3. USTA Jr. Team Tennis Season Finale: Leagues that offer a season-ending event where players who are registered for the league enjoy tennis activities, food, prizes etc. Awards may be presented for sportsmanship, team leadership and league championship. Coaches may meet to review the league season, provide feedback and turn in evaluations provided by the USTA Pacific Northwest.

Requirements: 1. Scores for a minimum of 4 teams of the same age division must be recorded in TennisLink 2. Coordinator must collect all USTA Jr. Team Tennis Coach evaluation forms. 3. Coordinator must present at the USTA Pacific Northwest Jr. Team Tennis Coach, Coordinator Committee Round Table in October.

Support Available: Event related hospitality, court time, prizes and coach thank you.

Process: Submit this form along with your league application if you intend to run a SPECIAL EVENT. Applicants must submit original itemized receipts within 3 weeks of the last match of the league, season finale or jamboree unless otherwise advised. Submit receipts to Mark Toppe for reimbursement. If original receipts cannot be obtained, a letter from the vendor documenting service may be provided in the place of the receipt. (See “Limitations” below.) Limitations: USTA/JTT Leagues with fewer than 12 teams are limited to a grant of $250 for each SPECIAL EVENT ($750 total).USTA/JTT Leagues with more that 12 teams are limited to a grant of $500 for each SPECIAL EVENT. ($1500 total) Each coordinator is limited to one kick-off, one finale and one 10& under SPECIAL EVENT grant each calendar year.
