STUDENT ID CARDS: Original and retake student ID cards are in the office. Please come to the office during lunch or after school.

FOUND: Is this your wallet? Please come to the office to claim.

HEY GRADS: Have you ordered your Grad wear yet? Check out stores/pmss. Store closes Saturday, November 9th. Sample sizes will be here this week. Questions? See Grad Council or Ms. Starr.

AQUARIUM FIELD TRIP ? SPACE AVAILABLE: Mr. Sabot has some spots available to Grade 11 and 12 students for Monday's (October 28th) field trip to the Aquarium. See Mr. Sabot at lunch today if you are interested. The cost is $30 and you need teacher and parent permission.

MOUNTAIN VIEW HALLOWEEN PARTY: The Halloween party at Mountain View Elementary has been cancelled. Thank you to the people who volunteered to help out, but you will not need to go. Please see Ms. Tsui if you have any questions.

MOODY MIDDLE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Moody Middle is seeking peer tutors to support their students. Students volunteering will earn volunteer hours for their service. The timing of the peer tutoring will be afterschool on Mondays. Please see Ms. Campbell (in her counselling office) to sign up for this opportunity.

SENIOR GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Please see Mr. Sabot at lunch today for a quick meeting.

SKI AND SNOWBOARD CLUB: There will be a mandatory meeting at lunch today in room 214.

MATH COMPETITION CLUB: Interested in taking math contests? The Math Competition club will be offering the CIMC and CSMC, for all grades, again this November. Registration will be $15 beginning today at lunch and on Monday, October 28th and Tuesday, October 29th after school, all in room 220. See you there!

UNITED EARTH CULTURE CLUB: Hey Port Moody! The United Earth Culture club will be hosting a school-wide basketball tournament on Thursday, November 14th from 3-5 PM in the main gym. 30$ will be awarded to the winning team, and 20$ for the runner up. Everyone is encouraged to come!...no matter the skill level. November 14th, after school. Sign-ups start now with any of our club admins! Flyers around the school also have contact information. All you need are two other friends and $3 each to sign up ($2 for UECC members). Personal prizes such as Best Shot or MVP will also be awarded! See you all there!

PMSS PAWS FOR A CAUSE & MSF CLUBS ? LAST DAY TO GET CANDY GRAMS: Attention all students! Today at lunch will be your LAST CHANCE to get candy grams for Halloween! If you've pre-ordered but haven't yet paid, come drop by the front foyer today!

BC POST SECONDARY INFORMATION FAIR ? 15 British Columbia Post-Secondary institutions are coming to PMSS on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 24 from 1:40 ? 3:30 pm, presenting information in a mini-fair format in the small gym. Parents are welcome to attend; registration not required. Details on the App: Post-Secondary Info Channel

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ? BREAKING NEWS FOR U OF T AND UBC APPLICANTS! ? If you have a parent working in Canada on a work permit, you may apply for an International Fee Exemption, which means that you will pay Domestic student fees as long as your parent is working in Canada. ONGOING NEWS

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: Attention International Students who have program fees that are expiring at the end of the semester - Please return the blue re-application form given to you by Ms. Woldring to the International Education Office with full payment. For payment details, please see the back of your blue re-application form. If you have questions, please see Ms. Woldring. The payment deadline is Friday, November 1st.

OFF BLOCK STICKERS: Any students who would like an off-block sticker please come to the office during your off block with your student ID card and student schedule.

STUDENT PARKING PASS: If you will be parking in the lower parking lot please come to the office at lunch to pick up a Parking Registration form.

COMPASS CARDS: A few Compass Cards have been found and turned in to the office. Please come to the office if you have misplaced your card. Would students please write your name on the back of your card for easy identification in case your card is misplaced.

PMSS TIMES: Announcements will be read over the PA at the start of Block 2 on Mondays (or Tuesdays if there's no school in session on Mondays) and Thursdays. Teachers will read announcements to their classes at the start of Block 2 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. You will find copies of the PMSS Times outside the office and it will also be posted in the Cafeteria under the clock.

CLUBS

WISH YOUTH NETWORK SOCIETY CLUB - BUBBLE TEA: Hey PMSS students! WYNS is doing a bubble tea sale for Eagle Ridge Hospital. Come to the foyer during lunch to pre-order. Choices are royal milk tea for $4.50 and passion fruit green tea for $5.00. Pick-up will Tuesday, October 29th during lunch at the Blues Zone. Come buy and help people in need!!!

UNICEF: There will be no meeting this week for UNICEF but there will be a Fall Festival prep meeting next Tuesday, October 29th in Portable 2.

THE LORAN AWARDS PROGRAM offers up to 36 awards valued at up to $100,000 for 4 years, including a $10,000 yearly stipend and access to funding, mentorship and annual forums. Applicants must be Canadian students or permanent residents entering university for the first time in Sept. 2020; minimum 85% cumulative average. Criteria details and the application form at loranscholar.ca . Students may apply directly for the award - direct pool applications to be received in Toronto by October 24.

LESTER B. PEARSON INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS -UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO - Offered to International Students ONLY, the Lester B. Pearson International Student Scholarship is a FULL RIDE SCHOLARSHIP for 4 years at the U of T. You must be nominated to apply; details on the App/Career Centre/FINANCIAL AID + SCHOLARSHIPS Channel. AFTER GRAD ME-n-ED'S PIZZA FUNDRAISER: Port Moody After Grad Committee is asking for your support with our Me-n-Ed's Pizza Fundraiser. Order on the 3rd Thursday of each month (dine in, delivery or take out until May 21st. Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam locations of Me-n-Ed's Pizza Parlors are participating. We earn 20% from each order but you MUST mention that it is an order to support Port Moody Secondary After Grad for us to earn the 20%.
