You can pick your nose anytime you want…

You can pick your own seat whenever you go to the movies…

You can pick your friends at school…

You can pick-a-peck of pickled peppers…

You can pick up a date on a Friday evening…

You can even pick flowers…

But only on October 4, 2012 in AP Psych can you PICK YOUR BRAIN!

Yes, it’s true this October 4, all day in AP Psych; you’ll be able to pick your brain for credit.

This is an activity that can be completed alone or with friends for up to 40 points. If you decide to make this a group project, (no more than 4 per group) you will have to document your work to receive credit.

As a culminating activity for Chapter 2, you have many options to exhibit your knowledge of the brain and nervous system.

Some Options: The edible brain

The edible nervous system

A brain or nervous system song

A brain or nervous system music video

OR: Your own teacher approved suggestion

Projects will be graded on: Expertise on topic 20 pts.

Creativity 10 pts.

Utility (Is this project an effective learning tool?) 10 pts.

Project ideas must be submitted for approval on or before Monday, September 24. This is an absolute deadline. There will be no extensions.

The due date is October 4, 2012. If you plan on being absent on that day you must make arrangements for early submission of your project. Late submissions will not be accepted. Remember, this is AP Psychology; you are in a college level class. Do not inconvenience the rest of your group by being absent on October 4. Make arrangements to get your project to school even if you can’t be here!
