The course includes project work based on personal research. (from the IBO)The students most likely to select this course are those whose main interests lie outside the field of mathematics, science, computer science and engineering. In particular, Math Studies gives aspiring liberal arts majors a solid foundation in a variety of areas of math, especially statistics. If you got a 4+, UT Austin would give you credit for Applied Math!GoalsAbove all, our class seeks to develop problem-solving skills.
