The Centre is currently closed until further notice, but you can be assured that we are working to develop new strategies that can keep people connected, active and creative whilst we all continue to stay home and follow the government's advice regarding physical distancing. Everyone's health and wellbeing should be a priority. Hopefully you find some great resources and ideas to help keep your days interesting and active.

We have also included a lot of online activities that you can access from home ? check the following page for full details.

Updates on community programs

We are working with our tutors to deliver Hatha Yoga, Meditation, Digital technology and Art programs via online platforms. If you are interested in joining any of these free sessions, please email Braycomm@maribyrnong..au or contact the Centre on 9188 5800.

FILLS Program

The FILLS program have many tutors who will be offering one-on-one tutoring with students in Term 2. This tutoring will be through platforms such as Skype, FaceTime, email and Zoom. Due to limited resources, it will be offered to Grade 5 and above. We are looking at how we can support families with younger children. Watch this space.

Happy Easter

Wishing everyone a safe and happy Easter. It's a time when families would normally gather and celebrate with food, Easter eggs and joy. We hope you have a wonderful Easter whilst still abiding to physical distancing. Maybe send an eCard, make a call or FaceTime family and friends. Whatever you do, please do it safely.

Children's activities Online Story Time

Maribyrnong Library Service has launched Story Time Online, which you can now watch on YouTube. A new video will be available every weekday at 11am.

Online code club ? Maribyrnong Home Coders Join Maribyrnong Libraries in the Scratch studio for a range of coding challenges and projects.

Youth activities

Are you a young person aged 18-25years wanting to share your creative ideas during this time? We're seeking young creatives from our community to be involved in the Youth Services Isolation Creations online. Submit your expression of interest on the Phoenix Youth website: .au

Adult and Senior activities and links Autumn Book Binge ? Encouraging Community Members to read more and to read more widely

Join us for the 2020 Autumn Book Binge reading challenge! The challenge provides nine categories and the idea is to read one book from each category through Autumn (March-May). Research tells us that reading has positive benefits on a person's health, wellbeing and personal development. There is a competition to win a book voucher. You can borrow eBooks and eAudiobooks to complete the challenge. Check out the Library website for more details:
