This would help raise the children’s awareness for these different cultures, and it would also help them possibly recognize their own culture and cultural dress. 2 Ideas of My Own Choosing:Multicultural Magazine ClippingsFor this idea, I would clip pictures of people of different races, ethnicities, and people with differing abilities from magazines and place them either on the walls or on the sides of the toy shelves. This would be a nice thing for the children to look at, learn from, and relate to.Family Fun DayAnother thing I would do in my classroom is I would host a family fun day for the children and their families. The families and their children can bring in some of their favorite foods to share with the others, and bring something from home for show and tell. This would help the children and families get to know each other and also promote diversity within the classroom. ................
