I have spent my entire life at the tennis courts watching and playing, and I can honestly say that my love for the sport has only grown as time has gone on as I’ve gained a greater appreciation for the complexity of the sport and the dedication it requires.Tennis demands commitment, perseverance and hard work, but more than that, it demands a strong character and a lot of mental strength. I think that is why I have found a joy in playing, as I am constantly trying to push myself. I am an incredibly diligent and determined person and I put all my effort into everything that I do, with tennis being no exception.Having just completed grade 12, my focus is now solely on my tennis and improving my game. I believe college tennis would be an incredible opportunity for me to develop my tennis further and would give me the chance to experience a new culture whilst still playing the sport I love. College tennis would allow me the opportunity to play against some of the top players in the world, and that is a challenge that I am prepared to face head on. My mental strength has pushed me to play matches in extreme heats and for extreme lengths of time, with my determination to win never waivering. I am extremely competitive which means you can be sure that I will fight to win no matter what the situation, however I have also learnt to be gracious in defeat and to view losing as a way of improving my game, rather than just seeing it as a loss.I believe I would be an asset to have on the team, as I am extremely hard working and feel I would thrive in the college environment. I would represent both the school and myself with pride, working towards achieving my long-term goals and never giving anything less than my absolute best.Tennis informationClub: Hensman Park Tennis Club, South PerthCoach: Mark LeubaPlays: right-handed with a double-handed backhandAge began playing: started at 3 years old, private coaching from 9 years oldTennis resultsTOURNAMENTOPPONENTWIN/LOSESCOREOPPONENTS UTREXTRA INFO2017 women’s division 1 summer pennant seriesNatasha Camer-PesciL3-6 6-4 2-69Australian ranking of 2482017 Bronze Ripper AMTTonya Glogowski-WatsonL2-4 2-48Australian ranking of 2002017 Bronze blast AMTPimchanok KhamsingnokW4-3 (3) 4-15-2017 Wilding shield grass AMTJovana ZabrdacL2-6 6-7(5)7-2017 Alexander Park Tennis Club summer silverNina SergeevW6-3 2-6 15-137Currently attending South Western Oklahoma under a tennis scholarship2017 Alexander Park Tennis Club summer silverJasmine CarswellW4-2 5-37Currently attending Coastal Georgia under a tennis scholarship2017 Alexander Park summer silverRuby CulleyL4-6 3-68Australian ranking of 1792016 WA summer series AMT #2Pimchanok KhamsingnokW6-0 6-05-2016 WA open junior goldKate GibsonW7-6 (3) 6-4--2016 WA open junior goldRuby CulleyL0-6 6-2 4-108Australian ranking of 1792016 state open age goldSamantha YeatsL3-6 6-7(4)7-2016 Perth platinumGeorgia TovichW6-2 6-28Australian ranking of 2712016 Perth PlatinumCasey TayL6-4 3-6 3-68Australian ranking of 1972016 Hensman Park Junior openOlivia MannL7-6(3) 1-6 3-68-2016 Hensman Park Junior openJady LyW6-2 6-16-2016 Perth Autumn GoldCharlotte LittleJohnL4-6 6-4 1-68Australian ranking of 2902016 Perth Autumn GoldLukundo SimbileL5-3 4-5 10-128Australian ranking of 2682016 Perth Autumn white AMTHelena JokanovicW6-2 6-17Australian ranking of 4942016 South Perth Junior OpenEmmy LappellW6-4 6-16-2015 Perth Fast4 AMTTonya Glogowski-WatsonW4-1 4-08Australian ranking of 200Due to school commitments, I have not been able to play many tournaments and have had to concentrate more heavily on my schooling rather than my tennis in the past few months.
