For the 2020-2021 academic year, the College of Architecture will continue using the Autodesk Student Software Program, focusing on AutoCAD and Revit. Every year student are encouraged to upgrade to the current version.

To obtain software, students are required to register with Autodesk at using their student @huskers.unl.edu email address*. This email address can be claimed as soon as the student has been

registered for classes.

* Student email addresses are accessible from the website.

Once registered with Autodesk, students will be able to download software installers directly from Autodesk. These installers vary in size from 2.5GB to 14.6GB in size. Students should plan to download and

install the software before arriving for the fall semester. Along with the installer, Autodesk issues a userspecific serial number and product key to register and authenticate the software with Autodesk. This will also be

emailed to your @huskers.unl.edu email address. Do not delete it.

Rhino 6

Student licenses for Rhino 6 are available at the UNL Computer Shop located in the Lower Level of the Nebraska Union (402-472-5151). The educational version is identical to the commercial version, only sold at a discounted

price. The license currently costs $95.

Note: The Rhino 6 package purchased from UNL computer Shop only contains the license code, not the install media. Please use the download link below for the installer.

Adobe Creative Cloud

The College of Architecture requires Adobe Creative Cloud for all programs. Adobe Creative Cloud is available for free to all enrolled UNL students. Follow the directions on the link below to sign up.



Microsoft Windows & Office (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)

Part of the Microsoft Campus Licensing Program with UNL, allows Mac user who need to BootCamp their laptops to purchase a Microsoft Windows license for $25. This offer is only available to current students. A Windows license may be purchased at the UNL Computer Shop. Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel etc.) can be installed for free through the internet email portal after setting up your @husker.unl.edu email account.



Effective May 20, 2019, the @huskers.unl.edu account is the official campus communication for all students for University-related information.
