Auto Product Line Manager (24 months contractor) M/FLocation: MunichHiring Manager: Vincenzo NicotraEnd Date: Until FilledJob ProfileJob DescriptionAs a Product Line Manager for the Automotive Division at Micron Technology, Inc, you will be responsible for the development of marketing plans and activities for specific products or product lines to establish, enhance or distinguish placement within the competitive arena in order to maximize sales. In this position, you will gather market and customer needs, and provide marketing requirement documents to EBU Central Marketing and other Business Units. In addition, you will be responsible to build a go-to-market plan to support the product, including: target market messaging that address product position, value, and differentiation which will be used in the development of marketing materials. You will work closely with many cross functional Global teams, including, but not limited to, Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, Engineering, QA and all Marketing Organizations.Responsibilities and TasksManage the Auto Product LineAnalyzing market, competitive, sales and customer data to drive product plans and product strategies Drive part number creation, maintenance and consolidation effortsIntroducing and presenting specific product requirements in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and to ESG Executive Management.Monitor/update internal and external Micron website to ensure correct marketing support documents are referenced – Marketing Part Number Decoders, Product SKU/Status GuidesIdentify and signal wafer starts to support new product introduction/sampling effortsProvide PME workflow approvals for sample ordersTrack qualification/transition progress new designs or die shrinksWork with NVE and Supply Chain on fulfilling engineering sample demand as well as product issues, manufacturing line issues and prioritiesReconcile forecasts with sales managers and communicate to internal manufacturing support teamsSupporting timely execution of new product launches and enabling samples in the marketWork closely with Manufacturing Planning and EBU Marketing Operations to attain uninterrupted supply for key customersWork with manufacturing teams, Marketing operations and Sales to identify aged and slow moving inventory and develop depletion plansProactively work to streamline processes and systems to ensure first class internal and external customer serviceMake priority customer support decisions when early sample availability or long term supply is limitedProvide analysis and direction on key business decisions within the manufacturing planning process to ensure the correct product is built for the customers that we planned to supportInterface with Sales Operations and other cross functional groups to identify and understand any potential and existing business opportunities or problemsIdentify and work with manufacturing, product engineering and quality assurance teams on product change and qualification plans – new product introduction, manufacturing facility changes, substantial process changes and product end of lifeManage pricing positioning and strategies.Oversee Customer SupportDevelop business plans together with Business Development team.Provide product availability/schedule support and guidance to Central and Field Sales teamsCollaborate with Automotive Application Expert Teams with product line support for best match of customer requirementsWork with sales and field marketing teams on product transition plans to align with customer and manufacturing requirements – sampling, qualification and last time buy/ship requirementsDeveloping and leading sales training and building messaging that successfully evangelizes productsProvide Market guidance to Sales and Customers including technology, density, feature recommendations for mainstream memoryAssist sales with specialty product support (e.g., custom packages or other low running parts)Execute marketing initiatives for product line – new product training, GTM plans, product SKU/status guidesManage Product CollateralsGenerating product forecasts and overseeing the product lifecycle by managing product changes, transitions and end of life plan materialsAlign with Automotive Division to Provide MSR (Marketing Sales Reconciliation) gap analysis documentation EBU demand planningInitiate/organize PCN creation with regards to die shrinks, manufacturing facility changes, EOLs, etc.Create and maintain new product introduction training materials as well as collateralsMaintain and publish internal part number decoders Maintain and publish customer part number decoders on the external websiteMaintain product information guides for publication on the Micron SRC (Sales Resource Center)Maintain Marketing part numbersMaintain SAP – Marketing part number attributes, status etc.Facilitate and Support Meetings (internal only)Attend weekly PDT (Product Development Team) meetingMeet with demand planning to assure marketing alignment with demand planParticipate in the marketing/sales reconciliation (MSR) meetingAttend/provide updates for weekly sales, FAE and BDMs conference callsAttend/provide updates foe weekly PLMAttend project team meetingsFacilitate product staff meetingsAttend roadmap update meetingsAttend occasional customer meetingsQualifications?
