ASU’s Leadership Scholarship Program

The Leadership Scholarship Program (LSP) recognizes outstanding high school graduating seniors who have achieved excellence in leadership. Twenty-one high school seniors from Arizona and up to four out-of-state high school seniors are selected for the scholarship each year. Established in 1977 to develop exceptional leadership skills among promising scholars, this program has a long-standing history at Arizona State University. More than a scholarship program, students become integral members of the university community.

Students in the program will participate in the following:

• Two leadership development courses designed specifically for this program.

• Mentoring by an ASU staff member.

• Monthly meetings with all current ASU LSP students.

• Social activities, such as a leadership retreat and holiday events.

• Community service.

• Networking with LSP alumni.

If accepted into the Leadership Scholarship Program, participation is mandatory. The LSP award is a $9,000 annual scholarship for resident students, renewable for three additional years (for a total of eight consecutive semesters). The LSP is a $13,000 annual scholarship for non-resident students, renewable for three years (for a total of eight consecutive semesters).
