__________________________________________________________________________________________________The National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners (NBOME) is seeking a dynamic Test Development Associate to facilitate all facets of exam development processes designated by the Program Co-Manager. The Test Development Associate will also assist in planning for and participating in the Assessment Services Department meetings that support item development, examination review, item analysis and key validation processes.LOCATION: CHICAGO OFFICE DEPARTMENT: LICENSURE ASSESSMENT SERVICES Responsibilities: New item development; preparing and distributing writing assignments, item entry and coding, item pool updates, item review and developmental editing.Examination publishing—proofing items and the compilation of item feedback by candidates during examination administration.Assist in editing and proofing examination content prior to release for publication and during the publication process.Track and assist item writers in completion of item writing and review, prepare materials, group facilitation, and complete all necessary follow-up activities.Processing item writer feedback/certificates/CME/awards, tracking and assisting item writers in completion of online item writer course. Preparing materials, group facilitation and completing all necessary follow-up activities.Support committees and members involved in the development and processing of items, review and approval of examination content and monitoring of candidate performance Build and maintain strong relationships with National Faculty and NBOME staff members to achieve required results. Schedule, plan, prepare, facilitate, and complete necessary follow-up work for department meetings that are held throughout the year. Maintain database and provide accurate data reports.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field Minimum 1 year as an NBOME Test Development Assistant or 2 years in the cognitive testing development fieldMust be able to work occasional weekend days for department meetings. Ability to be well organized and work effectively both as part of a team and independently. Ability to multitask, work in fast-paced environment, and be flexible. Exhibit high-quality proofreading skills and typing accuracy, strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
