The goal of the program is to help students recognize and develop their potential to excel in math and science and to encourage them to pursue postsecondary degrees in math and science, and ultimately careers in the math and science professions.Applicants should have an overall G.P.A. of 3.0 and exhibit the ability to tutor students in Math, Science and/or English. Hunter, DirectorTutor CounselorsJob Description:From June 20, 2020 through July 31, 2020, up to twenty-five (25) college-bound high school students from Public High Schools in the Baltimore Metro Region will participate in an academic–intensive program on the campuses of Towson University and Baltimore City Community College. Tutor/counselors will work with certified instructors in academic areas and lead/supervise students during cultural, recreational and social activities. Tutor/counselors are responsible for students on a 24-hour basis from 7:00 am Mondays through 2:00 pm Fridays. Tutor counselors stay on campus with students and report directly to the Residential Coordinators as well as full-time staff.
