Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commissions To Graduate Entry Level Police Academy Class on 7/8

Background: The Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commissions (MPCTC) announce the graduation of the Police Entry Level Training Program, Class 22 on July 8 at 10 a.m. at Carroll Community College. The 35 officers who will be graduating have completed 26 weeks of intensive training at the Public Safety Education and Training Center in Sykesville.

Members of the class represent 11 law enforcement agencies, including the Baltimore City Sheriff's Office, Carroll County Sheriff's Department, Clifton T. Perkins Hospital Center Police Department, Cumberland City Police Department, Frostburg State University Police, Gaithersburg City Police Department, Garrett County Sheriff's Department, Morgan State University Police Department, Maryland Division of Parole and Probation, Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal and the Taneytown Police Department.

The Honorable JoAnn Ellinghaus Jones, Judge, District Court of Maryland, will deliver the key note address. The graduates will be joined by their families and friends, along with educators from Carroll Community College and MPCTC Executive Staff members.

The Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services protects the public, its employees and the detainees and offenders under its supervision.
