New Quarterly Drug Test Results from the Hospital's Electronic Health Records Released, July-September 2021

BWMC submitted results for 58 patients tested by the hospital between July 1, 2021-September 30, 2021, data series now extends from May 2017September 2021.

Highlights

Compared with the same period one year ago, the number of tested patients declined from 88 to 58 (Table 1). The percentage that tested positive for cocaine (35%) has reached a series high (Table 1). Cocaine (35%), marijuana (35%), and benzodiazepines (26%) were the most frequently detected drugs (Figure 1). Cocaine positives were at the top of the 5-year range, while positives for opiates, methadone, and barbiturates were near the bottom (Figure 2).
