ELECTRIC QUIZ EXTRA CREDITName____________________________________________ Date_________________Period____The purpose of this activity is to design and build an electric quiz with the use of simple wire connections that connect your question to the right answer. You will earn up to 20 points extra credit depending on the effort, creativity and design of your electric quiz. Materials: 1 piece of cardboard or poster 20 Brass Fasteners or Nut and Bolts or Paper Clips (something metal to conduct the electricity)Any small gauge plastic coated wire (#20 gauge wire works well) Battery and small flashlight bulbDesign materials (markers, colored paper, glue, etc)Procedure: 1. Begin by creating a 10 question MATCHING quiz about anything that interests you. Maybe it’s States and Capitols, or Football Players and Teams, pictures of band instruments and their names, or tricky Math Problems. Make it easy or make it hard. 2. Write the questions on the left side of the board, and the answers on the right side. Next to each question and answer, you need to attach the brass fastener (or whichever material you are using to conduct the electricity). 3. On the back of the board, use wires to match the correct question and answer. 4. As a second part of your electric quiz, you will create a circuit that will be used to test the answers. You need to connect a battery, light bulb, and have two additional wires for the participant to try to answer the question (see the example picture on the back).
