Any holidays authorised in BT systems for future dates will appear here after the holidays have been takenQ What is my annual entitlement?A See the below table for some examples. What do I do now?A Nothing! The Monday following your annual leave the holiday will be passed from BT to Manpower for paymentQ My shift cycle averages 36 hours per week. This week I have taken 36 hours annual leave. How will this display on my payslip?A Five holiday units on a payslip is always the equivalent of one week’s pay, using the average weekly pay over the last 12 weeks. Your payslip will display 36 / 36 * 5 = 5 unitsQ My shift cycle averages 30 hours per week. This week I have taken 6 hours annual leave. How will this display on my payslip?A Five holiday units on a payslip is always the equivalent of one week’s pay, using the average weekly pay over the last 12 weeks. Your payslip will display 6 / 30 * 5 = 1 unitQ My shift cycle averages 20 hours per week, but I work 3 x 4 hour shifts and 1 x 8 hour shift. How will this alter my holiday pay?A If you take a full week off there will be no difference – under both the current and the new process you would receive 5 holiday units. But if you take one day the pay will now more accurately reflect the amount of time taken off. Under today’s process, you would receive 1.25 holiday units for each day taken, regardless of whether it was a 4 hour day or an 8 hour day. Under the new process you would receive 4/20*5 = 1 unit for taking a 4 hour day as annual leave, and 8/20*5 = 2 units for taking an 8 hour day as annual leaveQ There was a bank holiday last week. I wasn’t absent, and my Rostered Day Off wasn’t on the bank holiday. I work an average of 36 hours per week over 5 days. What do I do?A Nothing! The equivalent of a day’s leave will automatically be processed for this day. Remember, bank holidays are in addition to the leave entitlement held on BT systems, so don’t book bank holidays as annual leave on BT systems otherwise you will unnecessarily be using your annual leave entitlement.Q There was a bank holiday last week. I wasn’t absent, and my Rostered Day Off was on the bank holiday . I work an average of 36 hours per week over 5 days. What happens?A You will not have annual leave processed, but will have 7.2 hours added to your existing annual leave entitlement instead.Q I have changed my shift pattern. I used to work 36 hours per week, I now work 25 hours per week. What happens?A Your annual leave entitlement will be pro-rated on BT systems to account for how much of the holiday year you worked on each shift pattern. Because holiday payment is calculated using the average weekly hours field maintained in Manpower systems, ensure that your Manpower representative is kept updated should you change your shift pattern.Q Annual leave was incorrectly paid to me last week, it was on the BT system when the file was sent from BT to Manpower on Monday morning, but was corrected on the BT system after then. What happens?A Firstly, this should rarely happen as it should be unusual for annual leave to retrospectively be removed from time management systems. However, Manpower will receive an updated file a week after the original is received, and will compare the two to identify any changes. If leave that was processed on the original has since been removed, the amount of this leave will be stored and will be offset against any future leave requests. If leave appears on the updated version that wasn’t on the original, it will be processed at the first available pay run. ................
