HOLIDAY PARTY PLANNING – LOCATION, MENU, AND THEME

The Holiday Luncheon Party will be held jointly with the IEEE and AIAA and will probably be an on-site luncheon (it is difficult to confirm the amount of attendees for a restaurant event). The luncheon is scheduled for Wednesday, December 5th, and ideas for the format were discussed, including: catering (Celina’s menu distributed), Mays Landing Country Club, and/or potluck (McCullough’s on Ocean Heights Avenue is too far away). Cost can be reduced by purchasing/providing paper products, beverages (coffee, tea, punch), dessert, bread/rolls, and having some potluck dishes.

Suggested location is the CAD 3 Training Room with Building 28 as a backup in case we are bumped.

An estimate can be submitted to IEEE to be reimbursed for cost.

OTHER EVENTS WE CAN PARTICIPATE IN

Air Show over Atlantic City on 8/15; Aviation Enrichment Day 8/23; Boat ride along the shore in Ocean City; check whether the 3rd Friday in Millville is still active.

ROBOT COMPETITON

Follow on meeting to be reorganized and rescheduled, as Mary is unable to participate at this time. An IEEE Teacher In-Service Conference is scheduled at the BWI Marriott on 9/7-8, which Holly and Robert Cranston will attend. Subject may include robot competition. Dana will check her schedule.
