Postdoctoral Position in T-Lymphocyte Biology UnitLaboratory of Parasitic DiseasesNational Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID)National Institutes of Health (NIH)Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)A postdoctoral intramural research training award (IRTA) position is available immediately for an outstanding candidate to study host responses to Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection in the T-lymphocyte Biology Unit (TBU), Laboratory of Parasitic Diseases at NIAID.The main interests in the TBU are the mechanisms and regulation of T-cell-mediated host protection and immunopathology during Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. Projects in the TBU utilize in vivo cellular immunological and imaging approaches to study antigen-specific CD4 and CD8 T-cell responses to Mtb infection in mice, non-human primates, and humans. Applicants should have obtained a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree within the past five years and have experience in the study of immunopathology with a focus on the Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. Preferred candidates will have experience in the study of Ag-specific T-cell responses, multicolor flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, and in vivo animal models.
