Monday, November 9 (band members on field trip)

Topic/Objectives: Topic/Objectives: Unit 2 Lesson 1 in text. (pages 84-115) The objectives in Unit 2 Lesson 1 include: Describing volunteer activities, organizing people to do a project, and persuading/influencing others. New grammar in this chapter includes tú commands, Ud./Uds./nosotros commands, and polite requests.

In-Class Activities: Practice with commands. Students will continue to work on the WeVideo project “Consejos”. Students are creating a basic video with 5 affirmative Ud. Commands and 5 negative Ud. Commands. Students will share the video with me. This activity not only reviews the Ud. Command forms, but teaches students a very basic way of creating a video on their own, (technology goals) In addition, I have created and sent to students via Google Classroom a commands chart to complete and share with me. This activity reviews command forms, as well as meeting a technology goal of continuing to learn how to type with Spanish characters.

In-Class Activities: Review and Practice with all commands. “Did you Get It”? Review commands worksheet in class. We will go over all answers in class. Work on another commands chart. Return to reviewing vocabulary from this chapter (presentation). Students will be taking a vocabulary quiz by the end of next week. The practice quiz is available online on my Quizlet account. Students will view pictures, then write in Spanish what the definition of the picture is.
