NATIONAL DEBATE SERIESBBC Wales is inviting proposals for a series of up to eight special debates each year to be broadcast live on BBC One Wales at key points in the calendar. Each one will debate the biggest news stories of the day, and the major issues shaping Welsh/UK political and society. Bring us your fresh take on what a Question Time-style debate could look like in 2018 and beyond. We want these debates to deliver must-see moments of robust and lively discussion that consider Wales, the UK and beyond. If that means bringing politicians, high-profile figures and the public together, tell us how you’d do that differently. Our ringmaster will need to be a rigorous and authoritative presence. Describe their role and who you think best fits the bill. This series will broadcast on BBC Wales television, with complementary output across radio, online and social platforms. So please include suggestions on how you’d broaden the programme’s appeal and engagement.ESSENTIAL INFORMATIONProduction TeamWhen you pitch your ideas we will require the names and summary of the experience of key editorial, presenting and production team.
