Miscellaneous Pay Rates for Contractual & School-Based Program Positions, 2019-2020

Effective July 1, 2019

The Department of Human Resources is responsible for establishing the pay rates for ALL substitutes, temporary, and contractual employees regardless of the funding source. School and office administrators MUST contact either the Office of Temporary Services or the Office of Staffing to determine the appropriate rate of pay PRIOR to making any salary commitment to a perspective employee.

The Office of Temporary Servcies works with Educational Options to hire current, regular 10- month employees to support Extended Day Learning, E-Learning, Home & Hospital, and the Baltimore County Detention Center programs.

The Office of Temporary Services assists in the hiring process for system wide summer programs. Employees are required to submit an online application each year to qualify for summer employment.

Contractual Positions

Contractual employee requests must be made to the Office of Temporary Services. Schools/offices must submit a Request to Hire form and Scope of Services in order to begin the hiring process; rates of pay will be provided by the Office of Temporary Services.

Contractual workers may not begin work until the supervisor receives notice from the Office of Temporary Services that a candidate is cleared to begin work.
