Overview

Emily A. Meyer advises employers on a broad range of employee benefits and executive compensation issues. She works on the design and administration of pension, nonqualified deferred compensation, equity, severance, and health and welfare plans. She assists executives and employers in negotiating employment agreements and executive compensation arrangements. Her practice includes handling the employee benefits and executive compensation issues that arise in the context of business transactions and the fiduciary and prohibited transaction issues that arise in connection with ERISA plan asset investments.

Emily has extensive experience counseling employers with respect to ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, Affordable Care Act, and Code Section 409A compliance. In the retirement plan context, she has helped plan sponsors fulfill their fiduciary duties and correct various types of compliance failures.

Before joining Littler, Emily was an employee benefits and executive compensation associate at two other law firms.
