Mr. Cullen is the Managing Director of National Program Development at the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association (BCBSA). In this role, he is responsible for BCBSA’s national business development initiatives and ensuring interoperability among the national federation of 39 independent, locally operated Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies. His responsibilities include overseeing BCBSA’s representation on all national standards development organizations (SDOs), developing national Blue solutions for emerging products, developing related policy and compliance programs and increasing provider/member satisfaction with BCBS national program delivery.
As part of leading his team’s engagement in all SDOs, Mr. Cullen serves as BCBSA’s representative on the Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange’s Board of Directors and on the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare’s Administrative Simplification Committee.
