Areas takes home the “Oscars” for airport food and beverage sector with 5 wins in the FAB Awards in Dallas

Areas has been awarded 5 prizes in the 2019 FAB Awards, which concluded its 8th Annual Ceremony with highly successful attendance and positive reviews. The awards ceremony took place on Thursday, June 27 in Dallas. This year's ceremony, organized by The Moodie Davitt Report and The Foodie Report, closed its doors with a new record attendance.

Competing together with other candidates representing the airport food & beverage sector, the jury of the FAB Awards, formed by prestigious professionals from the sector, has awarded prizes to 5 outlets managed by Areas in different categories.

The organization awarded 3 prizes to Areas in the “Airport Coffee, Tea, Non-alcoholic Beverage Shop of the Year” category:

• Urth Caffé in the Los Angeles Airport took home the global prize in this category and the regional prize for America.

• Farine Coffee Shop (Europe) earned the regional prize for Europe.

The French Taste outlet in Paris Charles de Gaulle airport was recognized with the “FAB Special Distinction Award”.

This year's FAB Awards introduced a new prize for the best“Airport Chef of the Year” recognizing the culinary experiences and cuisine created by the top chefs for travelers. Of all the chefs participating in this new category, Michelangelo Citino, a chef from Areas Italy, was named the winner.

These awards recognize Areas' commitment to creating unique, model concepts at the global level, always promoting innovative, high-quality brands tailored to the Travel Channel.
