Qualities looked for are as follows:? A person who continually volunteers his or her time, dedication and talents to the city and the citizens of the city to make Brighton a great place to live, work, play and learn.? A person who has made a positive difference to the lives of fellow citizens.? Someone who is dedicated to Brighton and concerned for others. They may serve on service, school, church, or community committees.? A person with the qualities of honesty and integrity.In choosing the recipient, regard will be given to the nominee’s achievements in the year immediately prior to receiving the award, as well as their past achievements and ongoing contributions to the community. The individual recognized does not have to be a member of the Greater Brighton Chamber of Commerce or the business community. A nominee need only be nominated once to be considered. INNOVATOR AWARDThis award will be presented to a business that is an innovator of a new concept, product or service. In addition to their creative flair, they will demonstrate good business thinking and planning for a bright future in their industry. This business has demonstrated “out of the box” thinking and developed a new technology, innovative product or service or applied a business system or service in an innovative way.BRIGHTON ATTRACTION AWARDThis award is open to a business that attracts people to the greater Brighton area, or caters to the visitor and tourism market. This business or attraction represents the best of Brighton’s tourism assets. From the experience they provide visitors to their enhancement of the community’s image, they are always seeking to improve the tourism industry in Brighton. This business or a place draws visitors by providing something of interest or pleasure.FAMILY BUSINESS AWARDThis award is open to a family-owned business for their overall excellence, innovation, ethics, philanthropy and contributions to the community. This is an excellent opportunity to share an inspiring story of success with others. If you know an exemplary family-owned company, this is your chance to help share that company’s story with a larger audience. Company must have been in business for at least two years. Must have at least two family members working at the business, and one of them must be full-time.CUSTOMER EXCELLENCE AWARDThis award is open to outstanding customer champions – businesses that operate customer-centric organizations where the customer is truly king. This business has demonstrated positive customer feedback and an innovative program or initiative in customer service. It is open to businesses operating in any sector.AGRICULTURAL TRAILBLAZER AWARDThis award is open to a businesses who has made significant contributions to the agriculture industry, whether it’s developing a new technology, managing a farming or ranching operation, or working to address a global issue, to name a few. This is an excellent opportunity to share an inspiring story of success with others. COMMUNITY CHAMPION AWARDThis award recognizes a local non-profit organization that has shown innovative strategies, unique marketing programs, and outreach activities that help create a better community. Selection will be based on recent projects, innovation and overall impact to the greater Brighton area.
