This amino acid composition has been specifically formulated to provide a well tolerated nitrogen source for nutritional support and therapy of patients with liver disease who have hepatic encephalopathy.Clinical studies in patients with hepatic encephalopathy showed that infusion of Amino acids reversed the abnormal plasma amino acid pattern characterized by deceased levels of branched chain amino acids and elevated levels of aromatic amino acids and methionine. The trend towards normalization of these amino acid was generally associated with an improvement in mental status and EEG patterns. This clinical response was observed in the majority of patients studied. Nitrogen balance was significantly improved and mortality reduced in these typically protein-intolerant patients who received substantial amounts of protein equivalent a Hepat Amine. When infused with hypertonic dextrose as a calorie source, supplemented with electrolytes, vitamins, and minerals, Amino acids provides total parenteral nutrition in patients with liver disease, with the exception of essential fatty acids.ZINC:Zinc helps in immune system, which a body’s system for fighting off illnesses and infection. It also helps with cell growth and helps heal wounds, such as cuts. It helps manufacture proteins and genetic material and carry out immune functions, such as protecting against infection and cancer. Vitamins have diverse biochemical functions, including function as hormones (e.g. vitamin D), antioxidants (e.g. vitamin E), and mediators of cell signaling and regulators of cell tissue growth and differentiation (e.g. vitamin A). The largest number of vitamins (e.g. B complex vitamins) function as precursors for enzyme cofactor bio-molecules (coenzymes), that help act as catalyst and substrates in metabolism. When acting as part of a catalyst, vitamins are bound to enzymes and are called prosthetic groups. For example, biotin is part of enzymes involved in making fatty acids. Vitamins also act as coenzymes to carry chemicals groups between enzymes. For example, folic acid carries various forms of carbon group-methyl, formyl and methylene – in the cell. Although these roles in assisting enzymes reactions are vitamins best-known function, the other vitamin functions are equally important.IRON:Almost two-thirds of iron in the body is found in hemoglobin, the protein in red blood cell that carries oxygen to tissues. Smaller amounts of iron are found in myoglobin, a protein that helps supply oxygen to muscle, and in enzymes that assist biochemical reactions. Iron is also found in proteins that store iron for future needs and that transport iron blood. Iron stores are regulated by intestinal iron absorption.Vitamin C assists in keeping gums, skin and connective tissue healthy and is a tissue antioxidant as Vitamin E, which also protects unsaturated fatty acids and vitamin A against oxidation. The various B Vitamins assist with energy release from foodstuffs and their metabolism while Vitamin B12 is involved with manufacture of red blood cells and the health of the nervous system. Vitamin B1 also maintains healthy nerve function, while Vitamin B2 and B6 help maintain healthy skin. Ferrous Glycine sulphate have Haematopoietic effect.INDICATIONS AND CLINICAL USAGE:-Anemia in pregnancy and lactation-Iron deficiency secondary to peptic ulcer, Menorrhagia, hookworm infestations.-Nutritional deficiency anemia.CONTRAINDICATIONSAminofer capsules are very safe with known concentrations as stated dose which fall within recommended daily doses.DRUG INTERACTIONSAlexitol Sodium, Almasilate, Aluminium Glycinate, Aluminium hydroxide, magnesium carbonate, Aluminium phosphate, Aluminium sodium silicate, bismuth aluminate, Bismuth chelate, Calcium carbonate, Calcium silicate, Chalk, Chloramphenicol, Dextrothroxine sodium, Cinoxacin, Ciprofloxacin, Clomocyline sodium, Demeclocycline hydrochloride, Doxycycline hydrate, Enoxacin, Grepafloxacin hydrotacite, Levofloxacin, Levothyroxine sodium, Liothronine sodium, Lymecycline, Magaldrate, Magnesium carbonate, Magnesium hydroxide, Magnesium Oxide, Magnesium trisillicate, Methyldopa, Minocycline, Neomycin, Norfloxacin, Ofloxacin, Oxytetracycline hydrochloride, Penicillamine, Ranitidine bismuth citrate, Rosoxacin, Sodium clodronate, Sodium ibandronate, Tetracycline hydrochloride, Thyroid, Tiludronate, Trientine dihydrochloride.WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONSDo not exceed stated doses except on the recommended of your doctor. Some Amino acids have potential toxic effects when taken in large doses.
