This website has reading activities to go along with several authors and stories such as Harry Potter and Charlotte’s Web. It also contained several interactive games that would be fun for class. This website has activities for phonics and vocabulary. There are over 100 e-books that anyone can visit and read online. There are also e-books that can be read aloud over the computer. This would be useful for younger children who cannot yet read.

This site makes reading such an enjoyable experience for students, especially in the pre-K to 1st grade range. It includes ABC help through song, for example. One of the pages is even entitled “It is fun to read!” and it also includes tons of printable activities that students could take home with them. . It is geared toward pre-school, kindergarten, and first-grade students, but can be used in special education, homeschool, and English language development. It features short stories, plays, games, and phonemic practice.

I really thought this site would be great for elementary aged students. There are many games and links that help build reading strategies. This website enriches the reading experience because it covers all the letters and a picture beside the letter that students will associate that an apple starts with the letter “a”. The website has so many different activities for students to do.

The activities work with spelling and vocabulary which helps with reading strategies but could offer more exercises with comprehension and fluency and so forth to be a better website. Allows creation of worksheets if you are a member which is great for print offs at home or in the classroom.
