It is the ability to articulate what we as Christians believe, and why it is reasonable to do so. Throughout this course, students will survey 6 major worldviews present at the current time (Christianity, Islam, Secular Humanism, Marxism, Cosmic Humanism, and Postmodernism) in order to prepare themselves in defending their faith and worldview. They will have a chance to study and explore other worldviews and how we, as Christians, may present the Gospel message in an impactful manner to those with different worldviews. Students will also participate in weekly Bible studies (Wednesday) based on certain books or passages of scripture. They will be challenged to take a deeper look at scripture, to apply what they are learning in the classroom to their own personal lives, and to become better students and readers of the Bible. Late work from unexcused absences will NOT be accepted unless the absence is changed from unexcused to excused. Students must see the teacher about what work needs to be completed and by what date. Excused absences do not automatically result in excused classwork and assignments. *Students are required to abide by the rules and policies that are written in BHCS Secondary Handbook of 2016-2017, unless specified in this syllabi.Students: Please read the course syllabus and share it with your parents.
