Unclean things

An EasyEnglish Story Unit (AEE) from Matthew’s Good News

Joyce Ferrie

Jesus said,

“What goes into a man’s mouth does not make him unclean.

What comes out of his mouth makes him unclean.”

Once again, his friends did not understand Jesus.

“Please tell us what you mean”, they asked.

“Do you not see?” said Jesus.

“Whatever goes into your mouth goes into your stomach.

Then it goes out of your body.

Wrong things come out of your mouth.

Bad thoughts, lies, calling names, telling tales, gossip,

these things come from your heart.

They are the things that make you unclean.

These are sins.”
