Week of April 6th Hello! I hope you all are doing well This week, we’re going to take a “break” from what I’ve been sending you as I would like for you to take this time to sign-up and learn some new platforms. As you know, April 20th we will begin with new content online, including beginning Romeo and Juliet. To help us with this transition, you will need to be familiar with several platforms as I plan to use some combination of what is below (as of right now—this may change depending on feedback). So, here are your tasks for this week:Access the Microsoft Form, providing feedback about your experiences on working with online tech (copy and paste the shortened URL in a new tab): Period 4: bit.ly/OnlinePeriod4 Period 7: bit.ly/OnlinePeriod7Microsoft Teams--YOU CAN ACCESS OFFICE 365 FROM CLASSLINK. You already have access to this through Office 365 from the school. Remember, to access correctly, you need to use your school sign-in/password that you would normally use (no Google emails!). Take some time to visit and familiarize yourself—browse the tabs at the top (Flipgrid and my website are accessible from here!). I’ve made several posts and created a “Romeo and Juliet channel” where we be completing work, having conversations, etc. Flipgrid--YOU CAN ADD THIS TO CLASSLINK. But you also have access through the desktop/Teams or an app on your phone to post videos. If so, be sure to download the app and enter the correct FlipCode for your class period. A note: I really like this platform as it gives us the ability to quickly share our thoughts, reflections, and questions. You can also respond to your peers through video! Signing up: You don’t need to sign-up, you just need the code!Tips for the camera shy: 4: matteson8Period 7: matteson4Actively Learn--YOU CAN ADD THIS TO CLASSLINK. This website is also available through the school/district. It will also be a main hub for all things Romeo and Juliet--Actively Learn will allow us to read/listen to the text, answer questions, watch videos, access resources, and more! Please use the following information to get into the correct class:Signing up: ; 4: jpdviPeriod 7: y6wdiI know this is a lot—and it’s all new!But I believe that if we begin this process now (instead of waiting until the evening of April 19th—that’s right, I know who you are!), it will make the transition to online learning SO MUCH EASIER!!! Let’s get all of the technical issues out of the way BEFORE we begin new content on April 20th. (If you need any help or concerned about anything, please email me!)PLEASE NOTE: There are multiple ways to access these platforms—the key is to access them in the way that works for YOU! You can access all of these directly from Classlink, each site individually, or some combination. The important thing is that you are connected to my classes and you are familiar with them! ................
