In-Person INDOOR Prayer Meeting Covid-19 Safety Policy:We are bringing the 8:30am Sunday outdoor prayer meeting inside beginning at 9:30am on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2020 – which falls AFTER the Governor’s recommended Stage 3 date of Oct. 8. We have set up certain parameters under which we would put indoor worship on hiatus. For instance:If worship attendance drops below an average of 20 people. If Covid-19 infection rates begin to rise in our area. We would cancel indoor worship and go on immediate hiatus if the Superintendent of Schools in Brookfield decides to go to 100% online learning. OR, if Gov. Lamont drops CT from Stage 3 to Stage 2 or 1 for reopening. If anyone who attends our worship tests positive for Covid-19, requiring us to initiate contact tracing, we will report to the Brookfield Health Department and follow their guidance. If our Covid-19 team (Moderator, Vice Moderator, 2 Pastors, Church Safety Chair) believes it is unsafe in our local area for any reason. The following changes will be implemented for Indoor Prayer Meeting:One pastor only at each Indoor Prayer Meeting, in order to ensure one pastor is Covid-free in case of exposure. Lay reader(s) would follow social distancing and not share microphones. Continue to produce the recorded virtual service over Zoom.Indoor Prayer Meeting would not typically be recorded for broadcast. No in-person church school or nursery care. (Virtual church school will continue.)Children may attend worship if they remain seated with their parents and masked.Removal of pew Bibles and hymnals. Roping off pews for socially distanced seating. Recruiting and re-training ushers/greeters. Pre-recording some music, in case Toni needs to quarantine.Attic fan repair for use during 30-minute service only. Instead of taking temperatures at the door, we are including a pre-screening section on the electronic sign up, as well as posting the following questions on the sign outside our doors:Have you tested positive for Covid-19, or are you awaiting test results?Have you been in contact with anyone in the past 14 days who has tested positive for Covid-19 or is awaiting test results?Have you traveled to a high-risk area in the past 14 days?Do you have a fever or otherwise feel unwell?Do you have a cough, runny nose, sore throat, gastrointestinal upset, headache or body ache or any other Covid-19 symptom, such as loss of smell or overall fatigue?Posting new signage for doors and sandwich boards, with warnings for “at risk” categories of people who are advised to stay home per CDC guidelines (i.e., those over 65, or with compromised immunity or underlying health issues). The following changes will be made to the existing Covid-19 Covenant, printed in the paper bulletin:Masks must be worn during the entire service.People agree to leave row by row, following directions. ................
