Our ministry to the residential care homes in Auchterarder is very important – it enables resident who cannot come to church to receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion. It is just one hour once a month. We need a little team to help Tracy – please don’t leave it to someone else – Volunteer!Pop up pre-loved sale aka Jumble Sale: Saturday 26th January 10am – 12 noon in the Guide Hut. There will be stalls for adult clothing, children’s clothing, bric a brac and books/games. If you have contributions, please bring them to the Guide Hut on the day from 8.30am. We need 10 volunteers to help with stalls and then dispose of any unsold items – charity shops/Humana bins etc. If you like further information, please contact Norma Bibby or Tim Wagstaff.Do you remember baby Isla from Austin, Texas who was baptised by Tracy in the river Isla? She now has wee baby brother, born on Christmas Eve. Congratulations to parents, Ashley and John. St James vestry meeting Saturday 12th January at 10 amThe House/study group resumes on Wednesday 16th January 7pm at the Rectory – we return to our lively study of the Book of James. “Very stimulating Bible study” some have said!!Lent will be with us before we know it and that means the return of the very popular Lent lunches (6 Thursdays 12-2pm beginning on 7th March) in the Guide Hut. It is a simple lunch of bread and a variety of soups and open to all. We will need one or two organisers to simply oversee the proceedings – just manage the rotas for soup making, setting up and tidying up.
