"I love everything about Breakthrough, but the people are what truly makes the program special. Being in the house during the pandemic made me feel so isolated. However, Breakthrough gets us outside of our comfort zone and helps us grow to be the best we can be. There is so much time and effort put into making sure we not only grow academically but all around as a student."

SATURDAY SCHOOL PROGRAM

"I applied to be a Breakthrough Teaching Assistant this summer, because as a middle school student I loved the program. Breakthrough is so inclusive, the people are amazing and it really does bring you out of your comfort zone. I had such a meaningful experience and I wanted to be able to provide that same thing for the middle school students. As a senior and current Breakthrough College Bound student, I am grateful for the continued support that I receive, and I will forever cherish the opportunity to give back to students what was given to me."

"I applied to be a part of the Breakthrough community because I wanted to have an immersive teaching experience that would allow me to actually be in the classroom teaching my own lessons and working directly with students. Now that I have engaged with this community, it's special to me because the program is all about the kids. The structure really creates a different environment than regular school because it allows the students and Teaching Fellows to be equally invested in this experience. Everyone continues to show up for a reason, and I am grateful I had the opportunity to participate in such an amazing program."
