Our trend data for the past 4 years shows that this past year, we had the highest point total. FSA data looks at learning gains, which includes students who were a level 5 and stayed a level 5, students who went up a level, students who stayed a level 2 and showed growth, and students stayed a level 1 and showed growth.Every school is judged by the lowest quartile. Mr. Peters also shared a chart of where Gator Run Elementary ranks among traditional public elementary schools in Broward. Overall, we were the 2nd highest scoring elementary public school in Broward. In Math, we were first place overall. Fifth grade is the only grade where they are tested in Science. There is a new reporting category that is coming up for FSA. Right now, it is not part of the school grade calculation, but it will be coming. ELL stands for English Language Learners. If we were judged by only the ELL category, we would still be an A. Free and Reduced Lunch is also a subcategory. If we were judged by only the Free and Reduced Lunch category, we would still be an A. In the ESE subcategory, if we were only based on how they did, we would be a C. We are now doing a push in model within the classroom with our ESE students. We think this will give more control over what is being done in the classroom with those students. Calendar Options for next year - Mr. Peters shared all the options for next year’s calendar. Option #2A was voted by majority vote.Assistant Principal’s Report (Mrs. Brown):Nothing to ReportAssistant Principal’s Report (Mrs. Saba):Nothing to ReportNew BusinessMrs. Jackie Grasinger is running for chair.
