I am currently studying to complete my Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) and I will complete this in November 2018. My secondary education has contained a lot of studying and required lots of hard work which I have managed to adapt to and expand my learning. I have a good understanding of the human body and enjoy analysing the effects on the body from sports, I would love to pursue a course similar to Athletic Training.I have played tournaments across Australia since I was 10, I have always been competitive within my state making numerous semi finals and finals. As I developed into a bigger and stronger player I have found myself competing with some of the best athletes from Western Australia and Australia. In Juniors I competed for Alexander Park Tennis Club in Junior State league which saw me playing the number 2 position and seeing us reach the final which was very prestigious. As I moved into Men’s Pennants I was selected in Mount Lawley Tennis Clubs Men’s State League Team, which is the top league for season team across the state. In my first season I went 7-6 at the number 4 spot posting wins over higher ranked opponents. The proudest moments of my career have been representing my state at the Pizzey Cup in 2017 and 2018 and helping Western Australia secure 2 consecutive silver medals and captaining the side in 2018.I have trained in a competitive environment since I was 12, training 3-5 days a week with gym work and fitness included. Training with the State Tennis Centre in Perth has given me opportunities to hit with the national academy and had access to high quality services and coaching from the staff. This has allowed me to develop into an athlete with professionalism and respect which are my strongest qualities. As a player on a college roster I would bring a lot of team spirit as I enjoy starting chants and firing everyone up during matches on and off court, I can bring a lot of energy to a team. I can be a leader within the team as I have captained my state team before so I know how to lead members in big moments and how to bring the best out of my teammates. I like to work hard and I believe in what you get back is what you put in, I want to make sure everyone on the team works hard so we as a team will get better and stronger as a whole. I believe I would be an asset to have on any team as I have a great work ethic and I want to be successful in a team environment. I would bring energy and lift the team spirit in order to raise our team morale.Tennis InformationClub: Mount Lawley Tennis ClubCurrent Coach: Rhys McDougallContact Info: rhys@.auTournamentOpponentWin/LoseScoreOpponents UTRExtra Information2018 Perth Platinum – Final round of QualifyingIsaac BecroftL6-7 6-713Signed with University of South Florida for 20192018 IOOF Geraldton Easter Open – QuarterfinalsJason Kubler25 years oldL2-6 2-615.3ATP 1602018 Busselton Juinor – Semi FinalsTristan SchoolkateL4-6 4-613Australian Ranked 562018 Queensland Open – Platnium AMT – First round of QualiesHarrison Brown L4-6 6-3 2-613Holds a position in div 1 college at University of Michigan and previous Australian Ranking of 1182018 Perth Platnium – First round of QualifyingRhys XavierW6-2 6-2 122018 Pro Grass AMT – Second Round Adam KehaneW6-2 7-5112018 State LeagueJoshua BowenW3-6 6-0 6-212(P)Previous Australian Ranking of 2002018 State League James StuddardW6-2 6-2-Previous Australian Ranking of 1212018 Pizzey Cup – Second RoundBryce RobinsonW6-4 6-0112018 Busselton – ? playoffEvan MansoW 7-6 3-6 10-1122018 Pizzey CupDario KmetL7-6 6-7 4-6122018 Pizzey CupDale Nixon W7-6 7-6122018 Pizzey CupHarry BoydW6-1 6-1112017 Coastal Classic Junior gold – Maindraw FinalJerome IaconiW6-2 6-0122017 Rod Laver Championships- Juinor Platnium consolation finalGeorge StoupeW4-1 4-113ITF Juniors 4192017 Rod Laver Championships – Juinor Platnium Second Round Chen DongL5-7 5-713ITF Juniors 1562017 Margaret River Gold AMT- Second Round Dominic BechardL1-6 6-1 7-10 13Holds division 1 spot at Cal Poly2017 Wilding Shiel Grass AMT – Third RoundDaniel DowneyW6-4 6-0122017 Wilding Shield Grass AMT – Second RoundJasper PatersonW6-4 6-211Doubles ResultsTournament OpponentResult ScoreUTR Partner2018 Geraldton Gold AMT - QuarterfinalsConnor EnslinSamuel De AnderadeW6-2 6-21111Gen Naraya 112018 Busselton- Semi finalGen NarayaLawson MansoW6-7 6-2 10-71110Cooper Smith 92018 Busselton - FinalTristan SchoolkateEvan MansoL7-6 4-6 8-101211Cooper Smith92017 State Grasscourt Championships - QuarterfinalsSam De AndradeRace BoniniW6-1 4-6 10-41111Connor Enslin 112017 Bronze Bolt AMT - FinalAlex DowneyEvan MansoW4-2 4-2 1211Gen Naraya112017 Bronze Bolt AMT – Semi FinalSimon BatesNikola DotlicW4-1 4-1 1110Gen Naraya112017 Bronze Bolt AMT – quarterfinals Luka BrownJasper PatersonW4-2 4-01010Gen Naraya 112017 Bronze Bash AMT - SemifinalsAlex DowneyEvan MansoL4-2 3-4 7-101211Rhys McDougall11Players I’ve hit with regularlyTristan Schoolkate UTR:13Will Hann UTR: 13Gen Naraya UTR: 12Evan Manso UTR: 12Scott Jones UTR: 14 - currently at University of TennesseeThomas Hann UTR: 13 – currently at the University of PortlandGreatest Achievements Captained the State Team in 2018 Pizzey Cup Selected twice to represent Western Australia at the 2017 & 2018 Pizzey CupWinner of 2015/16 Junior State League MVPSelected in Mount Lawleys Mens State League Pennants team for 2017/18 Been invited to train with the state squad at the state tennis centre for 6 consecutive yearsWinner of multiple junior tournaments through 12s, 14s and 16s age eventsWent 7-6 in my first season of Men’s State League at the number 4 spot Selected as a leader for Tennis West’s “Camp Courage”Winning 16s Coastal Classic Gold losing only 1 set over 6 matchesTaking 4 Games of Jason Kubler who was ATP 180 at the timePizzey CupPizzey Cup is Australia’s State Teams Nationals events where States select their top 8 boys and girls to compete against the rest of the country.
