Hi all,
Thank you for joining us at the Year 1 Phonics meeting on Thursday evening. We hope you found it worthwhile. Please see the attached link to the meeting for anyone who was unable to attend.
We had a number of questions that we said we would try and answer but if you have any specific queries, please do speak to your child’s teacher.
Where can I find the resources on the website?
Will we be getting a reading suggestion sheet coming home at all?
We will be assigning books matched to the stage of Phonics your child is learning in school as well as providing access to books on Bug Club. We would encourage your child to read as much as possible, especially if they have a particular interest.
How were the children assigned book bands?
The children were assessed on reading age in September/October and book bands were matched to that. They will now have been assessed again using specific Phonic assessments to match the children to the appropriate book band.
Have we been given logins?
Yes you should have received a Bug Club bookmark. Please let your teacher or the office know if you need this login again.
What is the school code on Active Learn?
The code is lwgm.
