They will have one whole week to get ready for the re-take. During this time, students are expected to make corrections to their test using the required format, review the material they are struggling with, and attend tutorials if they need extra help. Test corrections must be turned in the day of the re-take. To calculate the final grade, the old and the new grade will be averaged, but the highest grade the student can get will be capped at 80. Late work policyOnly homework assignments that are turned in the date and time they are due will be eligible for full credit. Classwork should be completed in class. Otherwise, the late work policy is 10% off the final grade of the assignment. All assignments must be turned in before the unit test. If the assignment is turned in after the unit test, 50% will be taken off the grade. ConductStudents will get one documented warning for a level 1 behavior issue such as dress code violation, disruptive/inappropriate behavior, or failure to bring needed supplies for a class period – any other misbehavior or warranted action will result in a detention or further discipline. Three unexcused tardies documented will warrant one detention. One detention equals one strike. Strikes will cumulate every cycle and result in conduct cuts. All strikes will cumulate and result in the awarding of a lower conduct grade (an S for two strikes and a P for 4 strikes). ................
