Read the following paragraphs, and complete the exercises below.

It is recommended that people should eat 6 to 11 servings of bread and cereal products, 2 to 4 servings of fruits, 3 to 5 servings of vegetables, up to 3 servings of meat, poultry, fish, eggs, beans, and nuts, and up to 3 servings of milk, yogurt, and cheese every day. This will provide the right combination of energy, vitamins, minerals, and other important compounds to keep a body active and healthy.

The energy in foods can be measured using a unit called a Calorie. A Calorie is equal to 4,186 J. Most adults require 2,000–3,000 Calories a day. The chart below lists some common foods and their Calorie content.
