The University has grown its Development and Alumni team in recent years and is now in the planning phase of its first comprehensive fundraising and engagement campaign. With excellent support from University leadership and a strong track-record of high-performance across the department, you will be joining an ambitious team at an exciting time in its development.The Senior Campaign Manager will work across Development and Alumni and be a key member of our management team. The post-holder will work with colleagues across all departments and faculties, engaging staff to develop the campaign case for support and fundraising priority propositions, develop and deliver the campaign management plan, oversee all campaign policies and procedures, events and communications, service key campaign groups and work closely with the senior leadership team in Development and Alumni ensuring accountability to campaign targets and objectives. The post-holder will be a natural relationship builder with the gravitas, skill and confidence to network and negotiate effectively at senior levels within and outside the University. They will build networks and relationships in other departments and externally to ensure activities and opportunities are maximised and joined up and ultimately contribute to the University’s strategic plan.Key accountabilities/primary responsibilities% TimeLeadership and StrategyLead on the development and delivery of the campaign strategy. This includes working with senior University academics and staff to identify, develop and articulate suitable campaign projects. Foster and encourage a professional and collegiate approach.Identify and implement benchmarks and measures of success for the campaign.Manage and be responsible for campaign-related working groups, committees, boards or volunteer councils. Ensure effective scheduling, monitoring and delivery of agreed actions.Work closely with Associate Director Development to ensure all major gift campaign fundraising is coordinated and staff time maximised effectively.Manage customer insight (focus groups for example) to inform campaign strategy and messaging.30%Communications and Marketing Development of all campaign cases for support and proposition development for funding and engagement priority areas.Oversee the development and production of effective, distinctive campaign communications through the lifetime of the campaign, across a variety of communication channels and to a range of audiences.Work with an external agency and staff within the University, to deliver a comprehensive range of campaign branding and collateral for external and internal audiences.Work across major gifts, regular gifts, donor relations and alumni relations to ensure effective coordination and consistency of campaign-related communications.Effectively project-manage the delivery of a range of communications during the quiet and public phases of the campaign, including event-related communications.Gain buy-in on the case for support, web presence, internal and external communications plans. Build networks and relationships with communication professionals across the University to maximise effectiveness of alumni and development and other communications.Establish with the team a comprehensive plan to deliver first-class campaign events at key stages.30%Insight and Operations With Data and Analytics, develop and monitor key reports and metrics to enable effective and timely campaign management information.
