Canadian Cowboys Association High School Rodeo Scholarship
Two $500.00 Scholarships will be awarded. One will be awarded to a male and one to a female SHSRA member according to the following criteria:
The recipient must:
1. Be a member in good standing with SHSRA.
2. Be graduating from High School the year the Scholarship is awarded.
3. Provide proof of enrollment to a secondary institution or program prior to the Scholarship being paid out.
4. Complete the attached form in full.
5. Provide the CCA with a written application (essay form) that includes the following:
• Number of years involved in rodeos
• Events worked in rodeos
• Rodeo Accomplishments
• Rodeo goals
• Education goals
• Financial need (how would the scholarship help your needs)
• A short summary of what rodeo means to you
Scholarship Administration:
1. Supporting paperwork will be accepted by mail, email, or fax and can be submitted to the CCA office until midnight July 31 of the current year.
2. CCA will accept and review all complete applications according to the above criteria.
3. CCA will award the Scholarship prior to the Canadian High School Rodeo Finals.
4. The recipient will be given until August 31 of the current year to provide proof of enrollment in a post secondary institution or program. The award will not be paid out if this is not completed by the recipient, unless otherwise ruled upon by the CCA Board of Directors.
